Aventuria Tournaments at Gen Con

Next week is Gen Con!

We’ll be teaching people Aventuria throughout the convention, both at our Event Hall space and at our booths. (See our Gen Con post for more details.)

We will also be holding two different tournaments, and there is still plenty of space at both! One thing we want to make clear is that both of these events are great for new players. We’ll be trying to steer people into the tournaments who have just learned the game there at Gen Con, so you need not feel intimidated! We will even have decks available for you to use at both events.

Here is some more information about those tournaments:

Today I’m going to talk about Endurance.

Aventuria Card Preview – Tjalva Garheltdottir

Thorwal is the land of harsh and frozen seas, and it breeds strong warriors. Among them is the legendary Tjalva Garheltdottir, famed for both her ferocity and her giant stature. This hero is featured in Ship of Lost Souls, the second expansion for the Aventuria Card Game.

Aventuria Card Preview – Cursed Treasures

Earlier this week we introduced you to a couple members of the zombie crew of the Ship of Lost Souls. But the ship is not all bad – it’s also filled with fabulous treasure! Except there’s a bit of catch. Most of the treasure on this haunted ship is horribly cursed…

Aventuria Card Preview – Zombie Pirates

Now that we’ve spent some time with Brother Hilbert in the Forest of No Return, let’s examine some of the things that make our second expansion, Ship of Lost Souls, special as well. The Henchman deck for this expansion includes a zombie pirate crew that is used in all three chapters of the title adventure as well as the short adventure “Rietholtz’s Treasure,” so you’ll get to know them fairly well.

This is great for me, because they are some of my favorite minor characters in the entire card game.
