Re: Campaign idea - please help/review

While Baba Yaga is an evil being, her hut maybe isn't, so it could be a useful acquisition. And yeah, the idea that Baba Yaga wants her hut back can provide some tense moments, especially if she's unkillable and keeps returning for her hut. Calling it a talisman will remove a lot of confusion. Talis...

Re: Relics of Power Redux Acts 1 & 2 Thoughts? Spoilers!!

Frankly I'm okay with certain tasks being impossible to accomplish without skill knowledge, as long as the story still progresses without it. As Deanna points out, completing the act isn't impossible; you just don't won't have additional information. It makes the purchase of the skills have punch.

Re: Beta Doesn't seam to be a big enough deal

If I had a chat with a newbie GM, I'd probably suggest an unofficial table of XP based on how quickly they want the PCs to advance. Something like: 2 XP/Act – Your group's in it for the long haul. Twenty-five acts before Beta. 3 XP/Act – Some advancement but not too fast. Seventeen acts before Beta....

Re: Cyberpapacy Detective

Honestly if the Cyberpapacy archetypes don't include an Unlicensed Private Eye, I might be a little disappointed.

Re: Stacking Clarification

To sum up we feel that most characters can have everything they really want by about 60 to 80 xp before they are just buying +1 to this or that This is highly a matter of taste, so I can't say that you're wrong if you do feel that you can make a character that wants for nothing at the 60-80 XP rang...

Re: Cyberpapacy Detective

I had a convention scenario in oTorg that involved a detective agency. Sadly, I'm not sure I can quite reskin this for Torg Eternity (cygoyles have changed, which was a factor in my adventure). For that scenario, I justified that the head of the local Church Police grudgingly allowed the detective a...

Re: Do Villains test Surge?

There are some mistakes in the rules. There is no reason for the rules (in that one place) to state that it happens to the side whose line it's on...and then have it only ever be on the heroes' side. Designers have to be precise in the rules. It is literally true what is said about Surge affecting ...

I didn't know what was meant by "b-word" either. I had no idea of this issue, so I'm glad you brought this up. I know that L5R uses eta in their terminology. Does that have the same real-world baggage associated with it? I imagine the same care will have to be taken when dealing with the s...

Re: Home brew Cosm ideas

Well, how the numbers are generated would be trivial. You could just whip up a Googles Sheet with formula of RANDBETWEEN(1, 30) for the same effect. No actual dice needed. It'd be more fun with a prize. I don't know if we can sweet-talk Ulisses into providing Possibility chips as a prize. I imagine ...
