The game is still afoot! I'm still in the running for last word.

[SILLY] Getting the last word in
Okay, so these forums will be shut down eventually. Who’s going to get in the last word? Who knows? In the interest of not spamming threads with unrelated posts, I’d like to offer this one as a sacrificial lamb. Winner is the person who posts the last message on this thread when it is invariably loc...

Re: Victoria Gloriana Medal
I read that wording as just a reminder that skills would be affected as well. While normally the change in wording would suggest that the medal is to be handled differently from the pulp power, I think this is the matter of different authors. Or even if it’s the same author, they were written at dif...

Re: Cannonball
While there's no specific mechanic for knockdown, it is easy enough to replicate with conditions. Do a Maneuver against someone and make him Stymied or Vulnerable (or both) to reflect how him being knocked over is disadvantageous. Get a Player's Call, and the guy could be splayed out and scrabbling ...

Re: Intimidating Mobs/Crowds
I mean you could just say the other ones were further back and didn't see/hear clearly. What the player decides for rules purposes and what the character are trying to are not necessarily the same thing. Pretty much that. It’s not that you’re deciding that you want to make 5/6 of the group run away...

Re: Intimidating Mobs/Crowds
Imagine the Storm Knight being surrounded by six thugs. He intimidate five of them. To me this does not make any sense, imagine, 'If you don't feck off I'm gonna kill ya all, except you mate, I'm not talking to you, you're safe, go ahead, give me a kicking with all you have got.' No, if the player ...

Re: Intimidating Mobs/Crowds
If you just say that the penalty applies to the mob in general, then if you Very Stymie a mob of 5 opponents, they are now less of a threat than a single unhindered opponent. That seems wrong. Why would this be wrong? If five combatants are distracted or cowed enough that they all are nearly bumbli...

Re: Forum will be sunsetting...
Has a date been set yet? I’m all for continuing the discussions on here, but if there are more in-depth threads happening, I’d like to have an idea of when we need to wrap it up here and save it for the new forum.

Re: How do I build a good GodNet hacker?
The big takeaway I get from this is that hacking is not a lone-wolf operation anymore. It takes a group effort, so it may be that you have a really good computer jockey, but that jockey is unlikely to do everything himself against GodNet security. That hacker needs to make some friends, which of cou...
