Re: Torg the Board Game

So yeah, a Pandemic-like game could have the world map with little translucent plastic triangles. The map could have equidistant triangles mapped out by vertices. This would mean that the stela zones would not all be the same size thanks to the Mercator effect, but at least you wouldn't need to have...

Re: Equipment Clarifications

To make the list easier to consult, would you include the price value as well?

Re: New Relics of Power adventure

I'm really looking forward to the Relics of Power Redux. Though I'm a little worried it wont be ideal for a starting group. But i love the idea of an adventure that globe trots to give the PCs a taste of everything. I'm glad it won't be for starting characters though. The original Relics of Power w...

Update to Word template

Hello everyone. I've been lax for the past year, and I apologize for this. When I created my first content for the Infiniverse, I also created a Word template to help myself and anyone else to create new content using Microsoft Word: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/228385/Infiniverse-Exchange-Te...

Re: Possibilities from other cosms

Based on feedback, I've updated the original post. Still open to suggestions. The changes I made: Aysle: Adding an Up to a Possibility reroll is really powerful. While this is offset by the enemy having a free Up somewhere down the line, this is still swingy as hell. I changed it to being Favored. I...

Re: Cowboys, Ninjas, and Cyborgs oh my!

Honestly, you don't need to do much to do it. One of my players is a cowboy from Texas. He's a Core Earther. His perks are trademark weapons and sniper. He took skills like beast riding and survival. He is strictly Core Earth, but he doesn't get too fancy with his tech. He could fit in with Nile and...

Re: Avatar of Darok - Umm.... (God Box Spoiler Warning)

Half damage is a really weird ability for a TORG creature to have, since the system isn't linear like most RPGs. Yeah, that is awfully weird. Since Torg uses a logarithmic scale, one half of a value is roughly -2. So a creature taking half damage would reduce damage by 2. I'd probably change that a...

Re: Playing fast and loose with lethal/non-lethal damage

Personally I'd be a little wary of any mechanism which allows Failures to be converted to Successes. Honestly, I think that 13th Age's fail-forward can be applied here, and often I'll do that in my games. Failure is often boring. You try to bash down the door. You fail, so you try again. You try to...

Re: Playing fast and loose with lethal/non-lethal damage

I tend to be more fast and loose regarding striking to kill and striking to stun. I'm interested in what the players are intending. If they want to interrogate someone, then there's usually a survivor. Just because a mook can only take one wound, that doesn't mean that realistically they fall over d...

Re: Possibilities from other cosms

I had that realization recently too that the Pan Pacifica one is the only one that doesn't actually involve any rolling. That should be fixed to be consistent. I can't do opposed Reality rolls since the combatant(s) might be an ord. But making a typical soak roll and basing the effect on that sounds...
