Re: Question About Upcoming Cosm Books

That's a good idea, about only deciding on the award after the encounter is over. My main issue is I don't really know what would be an easy or hard encounter at this point, and would like some guidance or a starting point. If I recall, early drafts of those cards said that you award the Possibilit...

Re: Maps and Tokens

I don't know what your home setup is like, but I have gotten to the point where I use Doodle Pad on my tablet and screen cast it to my television so that everyone can see what I draw. It's similar to the near/far/very far concept of other games. I wish I could find a better app, but Doodle Pad does ...

Re: Talking about the Cargo Box

A KS backer is reporting that his Living Land table tent has no misprint. Has anyone else received an error-free LL table tent? Dude is running his campaign hardcore and doesn't need that wimpy Law of Life messing up his game. That's interesting. Sadly mine has the misprint. I predict a fix with th...

Re: Does the Armor Spell stack with physical armor?

Then you cast Armor, using a Possibility if necessary to get your +3 Armor, outside of combat, and just maintain it with Concentration. This seems like a totally viable tactic, and the potential for pre-buffing seems like a big upside of powers sustained through Concentration. My concern is players...

Re: Demos and curb appeal

So I was planning on giving some advice I've learned while running demos, but now that I have my cargo box, some of that advice may well change. I'll post my thoughts on each cargo box entry as they pertain to demos with stars for how likely I'll use them. ***** Rulebook: Yep, gotta have it out on t...

Re: Elf with cybereyes

Man, we can get into some really funky science here. But I'm going to go with what I feel is the simplest and closest to adhering to the spirit of the rules. I would rule darkvision as inherent to the race. The elf retains the darkvision as long as it can see, even without their original eyes. I'm o...

Re: Card Questions

And even if the PC is unable to soak the wounds (especially with a natural 1 and no Second Chance available), there's still a chance of surviving the Death & Defeat test. It might even be possible to get away with only a temporary injury or none at all.

Re: Hooray! My book is supposed to be delivered tomorrow!

Man, UPS originally slated today as my delivery day, but then it changed to tomorrow. I figured that's okay because I have rehearsal tonight, and I'd just be thinking about the shiny box waiting at home all evening. But now rehearsal is canceled due to an ice storm, and I really wish I had it delive...

Re: Day One: Pan-Pacifica, precognition possible?

I personally would just give her the terrifying vision anyway. No die roll. Just a crippling nightmare that sets the mood. It's like the adage of don't roll dice if you know what you want to happen. I think we should strive to make the vision happen, and the die roll is unnecessary. It's a taste of ...

Demos and curb appeal

After running demos for Torg Eternity for nearly a year, I've learned just how effective the artwork is in drawing in new players. Torg has always been an exceptional game, and it continues to be such today. I've probably had nearly 2 dozen groups of new or returning players checking out the new Tor...
