Re: Maelstrom

As far as the timing, I agree that we don't need or want a bunch of rules or rulings about timing of what goes first or what interrupts what. Reminds me of old school Magic the Gathering interrupt cards and all those arguments. But I've never had that issue at my table for much in Torg, and definit...

Re: Maelstrom

Additionally, although I didn't mention it before, there is also "The Critical Moment" which potentially would also allow bypassing the three round set up time for the combo in question. Grae Regarding this, I didn't bring it up, but this is always a concern when card combinations are too...

Re: Maelstrom

I've been playing this wrong then. Knowing that there is only one of these cards in the deck, and that playing it is also sort of a free action, I interpreted it as " the I win" card, not really " an I win" card, so I was okay with it and we've had a couple of fun epic moments w...

Re: Maelstrom

The spirit of the ruling is fine, that is the intent of making soaking unstoppable as long as you have the Possibility to spend on it. But I'm not sure I agree that the logic of it being a free action protecting it from what is essentially another free action. As far as the timing, I agree that we d...

Re: Space, the final frontier...

There isn't an official stance on this to my knowledge because it's considered background info and not relevant to creating and running adventures, and they don't want to paint themselves into a corner. But my take on it is that the cosm includes the entire universe, and that in each cosm there is a...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

I've never liked the whole give them a +1 to Strength or increase their maximum approach for "strong" races or individuals. It really isn't necessary to fulfill what you are going for. Strength is a funny thing, you can describe a character who is small, lithe and wiry with 13 Strength, or...

What TorgHacker's new profile pic reminds me of

So, first off, I love the artwork, but the cropped profile pic reminds me of Ernestine, rolling her eyes at our questions. Also, I might be showing my age with this post.

Re: equivalent of White Zone in Aysle?

This kind of feels like a cool idea that was dropped somewhere along the way. Nile only got an unofficial one after all. Maybe the new cosm at the end of 'Cosms Collide'? I mean, how will it be possible to include that in the future if it retcons whatever happened in our own game? Pretty sure that ...
