Re: Aysle Preview #9 - Magic Items (Part 1)

By the way, does this enable a starting character to have Two-Handed Sword +1 (Damage Str+5), unlocking the unwritten Melee Weapons Damage limit of Str+4? (Yes, a Great Axe wielded by a Dragon Warrior with Giant Strength Power Assist can have Str+2+4 Damage so it may be not so big deal, but I had th...

Re: Campaign idea - please help/review

oTorg had an Eternity Shard called the Pestel of Baba Yaga, which exists to facilitate spellcasters in casting magic spells in defence of Mother Russia. (Infiniverse Campaign Game Update Volume 3, page 13) This sounds like suggesting that Baba Yaga of Core Earth is dangerous but not necessarily evil...

Tech Axiom: Dynamite Before Nitroglycerine?

Practically it won't be a big issue for now(unless nitroglycerine can actually exist in Aysle), but it sounds very wrong and may be a part of larger error... Whan searching the Core Rulebook for demolition skill I found a text that says nitroglycerine can be found at Tech Axiom 18, but dynamite is T...

Re: Is there a demolitions skill?

But no, there's no direct demolitions skill. Heavy weapons or science usually suffice. I happened to see the Core Rulebook and unfortunately found EXPLOSIVES section calling for demolitions skill twice. Land Mine: It takes a few minutes and a profession (demolitions) test to plant a device. Dynamit...

Re: Orrorsh should drop a Maelstrom Bridge into New Mexico - Old West / Horror

I'm not sure if "Old West" lifestyle can come from horror-besieged Gaean America, but then there may be "Wild West That Never Were", different from both Core Earth history and Gaean colony... The one thing that's frustrating about the Living Land taking out the US is that it's so...

Re: Cyberpapacy Detective

I'm looking forward to the new TorgE Cyberpapacy with more integrated cybertechnology, but I hope its 18 Social Axiom (and the fact that the Cyberchurch theocracy is an obsolete and reactionary "Ancien Régime" even under that Axiom) won't be forgotten. (And the two important historical mot...

Re: New Perk: Past Lives question

Maybe it's a bit too complex to officially specify, but can Faith in a religion without the concept of reincarnation fulfill the prerequiste?
(I've heard that most of Christianity has no concept of past lives, and Keta Kalles has no concept of the afterlife.)

Re: Cyberpapacy Detective

There is no need for private detectives, for the Church knows all, and besides, sneaking around investigating people when you're not part of the Church makes people suspcious. Very, very suspicious. ;-) Somehow it sounds like "Anyone other than sheeple is a criminal", and reminds me of Ja...

Re: Alert Call from Japan: to prevent inheriting oTorg Nippon Tech Real-Life discriminatory term controversy to TorgE

I think in this context it is more helpful than offensive to just say the "b-word": buraku or burakumin. Otherwise most of us will have no idea what the conversation is about. I intended this mostly for the Development and remaining oTorg players, who supposed to have access to the materi...
