Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

More important than not being limited to a cosm is not being limited to humans. Ooh, that's a very good point, and it could easily be limited to human and fix that possible Huge Dwarf question. And since a Friggin Huge Elf is basically just a badly designed human, and Edeinos have their own ways of...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #2 - Cyberware

It's going to be tweaked. I'm sorry -- your earlier answer totally gave me that impression. I wasn't actually asking to get answers, just trying to help with the thinking a little! Atama, that would be my reading of it, too, but isn't Cyberware *supposed* to lift people beyond natural limits? That'...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #2 - Cyberware

Both that and the half-cracked Cyberware seem reasonably easy to house-rule, too... the framework is all there. Normally I don't suggest that kind of thing because no matter how easy a house rule is, they're never reliable. You have to talk your group into it every time. But these both seem like fai...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

I do note that Perks that increase both the stat and the racial maximum are rarer. But it's also notable that a Dwarf can start with Strength 14 at no Perk cost, and their Size limit thing is... nebulous? Like, it probably means they can't find armor in the field, but how often does that really happ...

Re: House Rule: Alternate Perks

I feel vaguely guilty about Signature Vehicle. I can't help worrying that it exists in some part because of all my compl--- um, bringing people's attention to the RAW difficulty of ever actually owning a vehicle. Which it does technically fix, obviously, but... first of all, I feel like an Electric ...

Re: House Rule: Alternate Perks

I have to agree with Flood. Survivor is a weird one and I don't think I've ever seen anyone take it, but if you've dumped Strength for Spirit - and if you have Strong Willed, you did - then you're using it every time you roll anything Spirit based. And vice-versa for Brute.

Re: Combined Actions in a Chase

I can see it with the way you described things, but overall it doesn't really seem like Combined Action fits for Land Vehicles. You can't all get together and drive a thing - and do it better! - the same way you can all shoot at the same person and be more likely to hurt them, or all work together o...

Re: House Rule: Alternate Perks

It's an interesting idea. I don't know what's been discussed in the conversation that led you to it. It would definitely make more situational Perks more appealing. On the other hand, it might make them too appealing - I would be very tempted to take one just to have a kind of modular slot. To be ev...

Re: No-handed weapons?

Of course the famous Bohemian Earspoon, so named because - I'm certain - you wield it using your ear, which was a very socially unconventional way to hold a large polearm at the time. Hence, "Bohemian," which is clearly the part of the name that causes confusion.

Re: Active Defense FAQ entry clarification question

Wait, so I'm wrong again? On both points??

Give me a moment while I try to find my "surprised" face. I'm sure it's around here somewhere.
