Re: What defense do I use?

I think I would say that if you used the rifle to shoot on your previous turn it can't be used to parry. Once you're in melee you might want to then start using your rifle as a melee weapon, which is reasonable since you can't shoot it at your attacker. The simple action grip-changes are really gami...

Re: Aysle Preview #4 - Uthorion

The High Lords were superhuman in oTorg as well, IIRC. Not that I would expect anything less of supra-reality beings that have conquered entire worlds with the aid of sentient pieces of the nothingness that existed before creation.

Re: Creative Interpretation of Text as Given – Reality-Rated Individuals in Untouched Cosms

All that said, it seems to fit in very well with 'ords' playing cards - some of the cards specifically say they may be played as a Possibility, which would provide a game mechanism for what I've described. (This does beg the question of why a stormer can't use Possibilities when they disconnect - t...

Re: Aysle Preview #4 - Uthorion

I was surprised by the reality perks but I forgot that Mobius had one as well. I suppose it makes sense that the High Lords have access to the secrets of reality; what’s amazing about Core Earth is that “average” stormers there have those abilities too. +7 armor?!? I think the highest we’ve seen to ...

Huh, I forgot about the Nile backer adventure. So, both cosm-focused GenCon games have referenced the Space Gods. Is that going to continue, with the GenCon adventures revealing tidbits of history in the game world? How does it tie in with the upcoming Relics of Power adventure, if at all?

Re: Creative Interpretation of Text as Given – Reality-Rated Individuals in Untouched Cosms

It was my impression that, from the Day One adventures, pre-transcendence PCs could use cards but not the Hero or Drama cards. So yeah, the protagonists have some neat tricks but they're missing the biggest guns from the deck. Not to mention the ability to soak damage. After all, one of most notable...

It's also possible that the things that are eternity shards now were enchanted or sacred objects back in the day. So I don't see any inconsistencies there. The only inconsistency for me is the existence of creatures that are always possibility-rated. Has every dragon made a moral choice in the face ...

Re: Share your Torg Eternity characters and archetypes!

Dr. Montana Smith , Starting PC Watching the Indiana Jones movies on Netflix brought about this... Of course, it's hard to capture an accomplished solo character as a starting PC in a group RPG. I thought the character should be well-rounded which is good in some respects and not great in others - ...

Re: Is there a demolitions skill?

Explosives are in the Heavy Weapons table in the Gear chapter, so presumably they use that skill. I would probably use Heavy Weapons/Mind instead of /Dexterity for those kinds of weapons, though that isn't stated anywhere in the rules I don't think.
