Re: Robotic Companions

If one wants a preview of this sort of thing, and one has access to Relics of Power Acts 1&2, one may wish to search it for the word "drone." Just sayin'. Thanks for the reference, but that seems more like a Shadowrun drone controlled by a Rigger, rather than an autonomous robotic com...

Re: Robotic Companions

The big problem with robo-pals is that unliving things tend to do quite poorly outside of their reality. Toss DJ Roomba into the Living Land, come back 24 hours later, it ain't gonna drop any sick beats. Alas, alas. That is true, but my group are playing wholly native characters as they play throug...

Robotic Companions

Given the companion perks of the lower tech cosms, such as Animal Companion and Drake Rider, I would be disappointed if the higher tech cosms didn’t contain robotic companions and vehicles. Core Earth technology has produced many kinds of robots. These range from simple robotic home vacuum cleaners ...

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

I wouldn’t want to see kaiju or mecha (along the lines of Macross, Gundam, Gasaraki, etc.) in Pan Pacifica. Maybe power armor along the lines of AD Police K-11 suits, Appleseed ES.W.A.T. Landmates, or SF3D Maschinen Krieger suits might work. Even then, I wouldn’t want much content in a Pan Pacifica ...

Re: The Infiniverse Exchange is Live!

I am working on creating some alternate rules for Torg Eternity. If I were to create an Infinivserse product, my understanding is the following. 1. Perks that appear on the Torg Eternity rules wiki may be freely used. For example, whole sections of text from the Perk descriptions may be copied and u...

Re: Mage Hands questions

For the Mage Hands spell, the range is given as 25 meters and the DN as 10 or the Target's Dodge/Dexterity. This implies that the wizard can cast Mage Hands on another character (e.g. giving an Electric Samurai ally a set of mage hands). However, the spell description refers only to the wizard using...

Re: Too Much Tactical Analysis

Thank you for the responses. I think this hits close to the mark. I think it's pretty inherent in the system and there's not going to be too much you can do about it. There's a significant amount of fiddling with DN adjustments and interaction attacks add another level to it compared to most games. ...

Too Much Tactical Analysis

A couple of my players are complaining that Torg Eternity has too much tactical analysis; that is, it is too much like a strategy game, such as Star Wars Destiny or the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. They feel that this is distracting from the role playing aspects of the game. This isn’t a matter o...

Re: House Rules

I was mostly playing devil’s advocate there (not that US is the Devil, more likely a High Lord pawn ;)) but I enjoy your work. I didn’t mean to poop all over it, Not at all; no problem having assumptions and conclusions challenged. I have been known to overlook a thing or two…from time to time. :) ...
