Re: A credible way to kill Pella Ardinay?

Those are actually great ideas... for the villain's scheme! Indeed she could have someone other than Light/Lanala/Law of Inevitable Return bring Ardinay back to life in a shape that she would find non-threatening for her twisted love. In that case, I would have the villain abduct her to an Aysle/Th...

Re: A credible way to kill Pella Ardinay?

First question: Did I miss anything? She could be brought back as a mummy. She could come back... wrong thanks to an occult ritual. The Cyberpapacy or Tharkold might be able to "resurrect" her with Miracles/Powers into a Cyborg body, but she'd probably be an artificial construct with some...

Re: Some creative help with a tricky character concept

Just spit balling here, but perhaps a new Social Perk like this? Untouchable Prereq: Famous or Wealthy You are either rich enough or well-known enough that the authorities can not move against you without sparking a huge public outcry. For that reason, you are allowed to go about your normal day-to-...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

But then I realized that skald is 1) an aylish cosm perk It doesn't have a star by the pre-req, so it is not a contradiction outside of Aysle. Skald works everywhere, while foreshadow is limited to 3 realms as you say. True, only those of Aysle reality can take it, but it still seems a bit much to ...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

Not all things are equal. Personally I don't like the idea of this cosm should be powered the same as that cosm. That difference is what makes things interesting. But as written, unless I'm missing something, skald works everywhere. This weakens psionics (having an identical power that is easier to...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

Skald v. Foreshadow Can anyone tell me how skald isn't better than the psionic power foreshadow ? ⋅ DN 12 scholar for skald while foreshadow is DN 16 precognition . ⋅  Skald has no chance of disconnection (no star on the pre-req, so not tied to a world law) The only other differ...

Re: Corruption Perks

I was assuming the GM would make a ruling as to if it was a full moon. As you say it is a thematic game so it is only a full moon if the game would be enhanced by it being so. You could also House Rule that some Cosm Cards, like “Sunset?!” or “Lights Out!” Could mean a full moon has risen, granting...

Re: Nile/Orrorsh Mixed Zone ideas

Much of my party has low Charisma so Corruption there's no such thing as a little corruption for them. It would serve them right for dump statting something though. Well, that's the beauty of it. If they take the corruption, they gain power at a too-high cost. You win. If they refuse it, you put th...

Re: Nile/Orrorsh Mixed Zone ideas

Make small amounts of the gas hallucinogenic... so as it fills in, the party starts to have trouble telling reality from fantasy... nothing unnerves players more than when the GM becomes an unreliable narrator. Be careful with it, though, as it might make your players mad if you put them in too much...

Re: Nile/Orrorsh Mixed Zone ideas

Pulp Horror is definitely a thing... just look at Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. I would play up the Nile feel at first, but the deeper they go, the more Orrorsh comes out to play. Lights should go out, scratching sounds are heard in the distance, things move when they aren't watching... try to r...
