Re: Maelstrom

As far as the timing, I agree that we don't need or want a bunch of rules or rulings about timing of what goes first or what interrupts what. Reminds me of old school Magic the Gathering interrupt cards and all those arguments. But I've never had that issue at my table for much in Torg, and definit...

Re: Maelstrom

Okay, talked about this further with Darrell. Card play on an action is simultaneous. Normally this doesn't matter. In this case it does. The Malestrom card would prevent the expenditure of the Possibilities, including Hero and Drama cards. If you want to hit someone with Coup de Grace cards, etc e...

Re: So, what spells are your players taking?

Is Bullet a bad spell or something? Bullet is effectively a .38 which bites the shooter if he misses. It is the only physically offensive spell available to a CE caster...no fireball; no lighting bolt. It was also not available to a CE caster in the first edition of T:E Core Rules. It is not a bad ...

Re: Active defense rule clarification, please

Previous discussion on this board have clarified...the Rule Book is correct.

Re: Faith & Transformation

I presonally hope that there would be an option for the transformed to change their religion and/or miracles more according to the new reality, though... Make it a house rule. You can do anything you want, it's your game :D Bluntly, I have never seen any Dev, anywhere, write that a transformed char...

Re: So, what spells are your players taking?

Bullet, taken as an offensive option that I cannot recall ever casting. Bullet's one that I've never been able to justify taking, personally, but I've heard other people adore it, so. Is Bullet a bad spell or something? Bullet is effectively a .38 which bites the shooter if he misses. It is the onl...

Re: What Eternity Shards would you like to see?

The Eye of Odin
Alexander's Sword (the one he used to cut the Gordian knot)
Shakespeare's Pen
Vladimirs Dinnerware
Vladimirs Scales
Lugh's Hand
The Golden Fleece
Taliesin's Harp

I can explain any of these that don't make sense.

Re: So, what spells are your players taking?

My only caster currently is CE. She is primarily a Wiccan Priestess. The spells she has are: Scry, practically useless but it "was [her] bread and butter before the invasion;" Mage Hands, taken as another thematic 'useless' spell, this has been her most used ability to date; and Bullet, ta...
