Re: Fief's

City of Susa Overview: Sir Soueif controls the town of Susa under a three decade long blockade by the Li Halon. The city of 650,000 is a technological jewel on the shores of the Imera Sea once known for their export of high tech consumer goods but now known to the outside world as the nexus of bloc...

Re: Fief's

Follow-up fief to the last one posted on the old FASA Forums. Another example of a lost moon in the outer regions of the Twilight system. Beefing the setting up for more PC play in the outer system exposing the black markets, corruption, and criminal elements lurking near Ravenna. Hope you enjoy. Lo...

Re: The Charioteers Guild

Bogie hit on a point that I find particularly interesting. Viewing the Charioteers as a Teamsters Guild for planetary and interplanetary transportation. I like the idea, to a point. That point being where do these pilots interests come into conflict with the Muster Roustabouts? Air Transport vs. Lan...

Re: Towns Crier's - Guild Novemeber 2017

I see your points. I believe both sides may be true. Many Hawkwoods will be pissed. Publicly if not privately. For the reasons you mention and more. But the strategic value of the marriage is in the favor of the house. Many will realize this. Personally I think his brother Alverex will be vocal but ...

Re: Designing a Fading Suns Campaign

First of all, great write-up. I appreciate the time and thought that went into this. I like your setting discussion in particular. I have moved my train of thought in prepping for campaigns more in the direction of a guided story with extensive prep over the last decade. Did you create a political m...

Re: Towns Crier's - Guild Novemeber 2017

We have an engagement party to celebrate!!!! Freya of House Eldrid; Freykrig of Hargard!! Sooo.... To make this pay off in terms of political and territorial gains for the Imperial House what other diplomatic efforts are being made? Hawkwoods should be encouraged. First, he finally married. Secondly...

Re: Towns Crier's - Guild Novemeber 2017

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Alicia Silvers get killed off in one of the Redbrick era Town Criers? I do think she was a great character though. Disney -ish Indeed. Minor Note of potential interest: Emperor Vladimir Alecto was 108 years old when he was crowned (brutally killed) {Alexius was bor...

Re: Addressing Noble House Populations

After running some side calc's on the populations given in the Imperial Surveys; I like the 1.575 per thousand as a rough guideline. Seems to work for alot of worlds. Others would need to be adjusted for political and economic concerns. (Criticorum, Tethys - Large scale self/guild rule on local leve...

Re: Addressing Noble House Populations

I don't like the numbers published or implied with the canon. 1 in 100 seems high. Even 1 in 1000 seems high. Fake news I say spread during the era prior to the Emperor Wars to reflect a demographic fallacy. 1 in 5000 seems more reasonable. I follow some simple rules I use to justify even these numb...
