Re: New ruling: Spells, miracles, psionic powers end if the target gets out of range or line of sight.

LOS and even range does sound right in some cases but not all. I suppose it comes down to where the power is focused, i.e. is there are continual stream from the caster to the target or has the effect been set on the target and now it is largely out of the control of the caster. An example of the fo...

Re: Electronic Locks

I would argue that the skill is not just about looking at the specific locking mechanism but the entire spectrum of how a door remains closed. A skilled lock picker may simply look at a vault with all its hi-tech combobulations, move to the other side and tackle the hinges. You can overthink and ove...

Re: multiple attack actions with multi target

Does everybody play by the RAW when calculating penalties or do GM's simply wing it based on rule of thumb and a fair bit of handwavium?
i.e. 15 minutes ploughing through the RAW as above to work out -8, poss -12 or 'wow, sounds near impossible, call it a -10 and bollox to the maths'

Re: Electric katana/longbow questions

I have tended to use the principle that the item is useless if it is is above the axiom. So a wrench held by a disconnected ord in the LL is still a nice club and uses the appropriate stats of an LL club, same as using the butt end of an AK-47. If the disconnected ord tried to use it as a wrench to ...

Re: Electric katana/longbow questions

I was under the impression that for ords there is still a difference between disconnection and transformation. So while they may disconnect when trying to fire a rifle in the LL or fix the boat with a wrench they were not actually transformed. Example - the disconnected marines in the lifeboat are m...

Re: Electric katana/longbow questions

So if you have already disconnected the AK-47/whatever will be flashing between its original form and something appropriate and non-contradicting. Would it then be sensible to use the stats of the non-contradicting item, e.g. improvised club if used as a bashing tool or just rule that it flashes bet...
