Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

I would go with the armoured suits, though I am thinking more Gasaraki than Guyver. (Seriously Gasaraki feels like it would fit into PP perfectly) Those suits are about 10 ft tall and are treated more like light armoured tanks than Kaiju killing forces. Though again these are opponents rather than s...

Re: Kaiji and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

I am having flashbacks to Rifts and it's mega damage escalation. Which is something I really don't want to see in TorgE. My main concern is how you include them without it taking up too much space that it harms other, more usable, aspects of the game that could fit in a sourcebook. We know how tight...

Re: Opinions on lightning strike miracle?

Oh yeah, but some kind of sacred item could be introduced that got rid of one of the limitations or something. :) Just so long as it isn't something that takes another Perk slot. Actually that might be a decent way of handling it. You add more powerful 2 turn miracles, but then include a Beta level...

Re: Opinions on lightning strike miracle?

For future drawbacks how about a cumulative penalty each time you cast it in a scene? So no penalty the first time, -2 the second, -4, - 6 and so on. The main problem is that it requires keeping track of how often you have cast a miracle/spell, but you do that for the Slayers rounds. In general thou...

Re: Opinions on lightning strike miracle?

In my group it has only been used in one-offs and in DPCs that I had a hand in making.

The two round cost is really the sticking point in my opinion. It being a single use per scene isn't a deal breaker. There are various one shot bits of equipment that my players use quite happily.

Re: A bit of schadenfreude for you

Sounds like the first act of the Discord based game that Mattritchie is running. Apart from a single test roll we made part way through the game to check the roller was working we didn't get above 10 on Twenty One rolls in a row. Though this applied to the bad guys as well. It was like a scene with ...

Re: Why be a non "Magic"-person from cosm X?

I think it is critical that, as mentioned, LL & NE are up due to their sourcebooks. That implies that the others will also rise as their sourcebooks come out. This would be especially true with the one listed 'Poor' in your rankings. Pan Pancifica will probably boost the abilities of the Electri...

Re: Informal preview of the Secrets of the Nile Empire and Religions of Core Earth PDFs

This is from the USS Macon. Must have been pretty bumpy to line up and get 'snagged' for recovery. Launching worked the same way, they got lowered out of the hanger with the engine going and then the hook would pull back and the biplane would drop free. http://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-8D15zqPUvGk/...
