Re: Firing Into Melee Question

Excellent. Yes. That's how I thought it went. So if I can keep the die roll total even I've hit what I intended. If it's odd, then random. In either case resolve it as normal fire combat.

Re: Rules Clarification on Dilemmas

The absolute of not allowing additional steps just because a dilemma is on the card seems a bit harsh to me. Why can we not adjudicate it as adding another step or action? For example, if the heroes were on step B and a dilemma came up AND the card showed step C why not adjudicate it as three actio...

Re: Firing Into Melee Question

As I read the bit about firing into melee on p.123 of the Torg Eternity Core Rule book it reads as follows... The attack test is rolled as usual, but if the final die total is odd, a random participant in the melee is affected. p.123 Firing into Melee second paragraph This seems to indicate that th...

Re: Players and GMs in Atlanta GA for Game Day

This is a thing now. I've registered with Gigabytes in Marietta for the 28th of July from 3-8PM. Follow the link to the facebook page setup for the event and weigh in. Would love to have a bunch of people show up and demonstrate to Gigabytes there is a following in Atlanta. Heck, if we get a bunch o...

Re: Surprises during Dramatic Skill Resolution

One thing to consider is that the surprises in a DSR are the dilemmas. Yes, but these are neither guaranteed nor prepared for. That latter part falls on the GM or mod writer, imo. However, it is much more interesting and cinematic when it occurs. It would be interesting to see a game mechanic like ...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #5 - Amaatism

Dream can be invoked by a priest only once per act. Yes, agreed. I'll have to ruminate over this a little more. If it only grants a single step of the DSR as favored and "easy" as it were, then perhaps there isn't as much to object to in the miracle. I'd like to see it in play and see how...

Re: How many Scenes per Session/Act?

My structure tends to be at least 3 scenes in an act but no more than five. If you have six scenes, imo, you need two acts of three scenes each. Time slot wise I think you can get an act per 5 hours with 3-5 scenes per act. I base this on having run D&D in organized play as well as PFS. Four to ...

Re: Surprises during Dramatic Skill Resolution

Keep in mind that a DSR has a Last Ditch Effort as well as attempting multiple steps in one round given the correct steps appear on the current Drama Deck card. If the step can be attempted as indicated on the card, the players should at least know what that/those steps are, imo. I get that spoils s...
