Re: Cyberpapacy aesthetic

I'm not sure it makes me good person, but for me Cyberpapacy aesthetic is a lot of Warhammer 40K. Maybe a 40K, Blade Runner 2049 mashup. For me Cyberpunk needs to have that near constant neon glow over the darkness and rain. Well, I'm not sure. I mean, in a lot of cyberpank novels there is a contra...

Re: TORG II: The High Lords Strike Back

Picking up from the end of the previous session the players endured a sombre drive back across the desert. Their success in destroying the facility and stealing an ancient (Blue and red) Egyptian necklace tasting like ash at the loss of the Falcon, a loss that Leesa was taking especially hard. The f...

City of Susa Overview: Sir Soueif controls the town of Susa under a three decade long blockade by the Li Halon. The city of 650,000 is a technological jewel on the shores of the Imera Sea once known for their export of high tech consumer goods but now known to the outside world as the nexus of bloc...

Re: Pulp Power Limitations

From a purely mechanical standpoint, the "requires both hands" Limitation is pretty clearly worded to be a single device that, well, occupies both of your hands, completely. So I would first say that stacking multiple powers into the same two-handed Gadget is spurious at best. Eg, if he ha...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #2 - Pulp Powers

I'm rereading the Nile Empire martial arts perk. It doesn't look like it does anything by itself except give you access to the Enhancements. Am I reading that right? You missed the (and immediately selects one). I'd almost prefer that part was left out. This perk sort of undoes the whole idea that ...

Re: Free RPG Day

If you run from Aysle to NA the most probable is that you will draw attention from the local High Lords forces. Or at least you can have some local opposition. Mobius would easily send forces to the LL jungles especially to test some crazy theories related to the Wonders. Cyberpapacy agents and Pan...

Re: Should higher axioms make FX easier/stronger

Also, your argument doesn’t conform to how things work on the low end. Magic and technology are both incomprehensible to someone from the Living Land (magic moreso than technology actually) yet they aren’t treated the same. Someone from the LL doesn’t need to understand how a gun works to point it ...

Re: Should higher axioms make FX easier/stronger

I guess I am saying, if Magic in the realm where the easiest way to do anything is defined as "Magic" feels the same as Magic in a realm where the hardest possible way to do anything is "Magic", then there's a problem. And I think what everyone else is saying (and definitely wha...

Re: Should higher axioms make FX easier/stronger

... you end up in the same situation as Gargoyle mentions - why be a caster from anywhere but the high-Magic realms? ... That is true for all things , why be from anywhere else execpt the Cyberpapcy if you want tech; the LL if you want miracles; or Aysle if you want Magic, it comes down to either c...

Re: Backer Archetypes and Destroyed Cities

I’m happy that my main office in Seattle (that I hate to commute to) will be in ruins, but unfortunately my home south of Seattle will likely be swallowed by jungle.

Then again I’d probably transform anyway so, whatever.
