Re: Preview #8 - Pan-Pacifica and Orrorsh

It occurs to me that the hopping zombies could be Gospogs of the Second Planting. Of course, that means that Kanawa would have had to harvest several thousand corpses to pull this off. Although will TorgE have identical Gospog of the First Planting, or will those be customizable by cosm? I could see...

Re: Preview #8 - Pan-Pacifica and Orrorsh

Yes, they were. Perhaps they still are? Doesn't stop Kanawa disguising them. Might be fun if players begin game seeing Kanawa as friends. After all, being an evil corporation doesn't stop them being seen as popular by the people. Just think, if macdonalds was an evil corporation; would the general ...

Re: Preview #9 - The Drama, Destiny, and Cosm Decks

No, no optional rules, and yes the Campaign card is gone. We figure that if you want to make it a campaign thing, you just do it. :-) I'll talk to Darrell to see if we want to make these a 'play immediately' thing. I always disliked the Campaign card. The implication of it was that if you didn't ha...

Re: Preview #9 - The Drama, Destiny, and Cosm Decks

I could see cleaning up the meatspace of the game by having the Drama Deck be available in an app. The Destiny deck and Cosm decks, however, would likely still benefit from having physical cards. I suppose the Cosm decks could be tracked by the app, since each player only draws one at the beginning ...

Re: Preview #8 - Pan-Pacifica and Orrorsh

It wouldn't be too hard to generate a mixed zone between the Nile Empire and Orrorsh as well; they are only the space of a couple triangles away - now that would be an oddball area. I imagine it might come out like those "alternate reality" comics where the heroes lose anyway despite thei...

Re: Preview #7 - The Nile Empire and Tharkold

We finalized some things. Radioactivity is in pockets, and no climate shift in the Blasted Land. Cool. Radiation pockets will pose a substantial threat while avoid the question of why the hell would anybody live here? I'm guessing this may be a place of refugees and fugitives. It's a great place fo...

Re: Preview #7 - The Nile Empire and Tharkold

I have this weird idea of Storm Knights smuggling in reels of the original Star Wars trilogy and just blowing the minds of the denizens of the Nile. You know that Mobius would bankrupt the nation trying to build the Death Star. I had the Mobius in my campaign launch weird science rocketships to Mar...

Re: Preview #5 - Aysle and the Cyberpapacy

You could probably even mock up a workable giant with the increased strength and increased toughness perks and access to the original Aysle book/PDF, if a player really wants one. I posted this on the Tharkold thread, but I bet this can apply to fantasy races in Aysle too. Since Nile powers are ton...

I suspect that enterprising GMs could jury-rig the Nile pulp powers to double as Tharkold mutations. Might not be official, but I bet it could work.

Re: Preview #7 - The Nile Empire and Tharkold

None of those settings feature organized nation-states, much less multinational non-state actors like the Red Cross, Doctors without Borders or Exxon-Mobile, which are the hallmarks of Social 25. Maybe it does. Maybe that's why technodemons are "lazy." Hints of ancient Rome perhaps? The S...
