Re: Movie/TV/book references for the realms/cosms

Not to mention that the game developers would be viewed as taking a stance if they use real-world politicians. For example, I hold no esteem for President Trump, and I would roll my eyes if Trump were portrayed as doing anything actually competent. Conversely, a Trump supporter would be outraged if ...

Re: Preview #6 - Spells, Miracles, and Psionics

Always glad to see a backlash mechanic in magic systems. I always liked that it was possible in OTorg to succeed at a spell but still take backlash. I hope that certain powerful effects in Torg Eternity have a built-in backlash that perhaps is nullified only on an Outstanding success. I'm actually r...

Re: Preview #5 - Aysle and the Cyberpapacy

While Day-0 stories can be pretty fun, these are probably best done on an individual basis. In my experience, players tend to want to play vastly different characters from all over the place. Re: Preview #4 - Core Earth and the Living Land

I like everything I read so far except for the Delphi Council, it was really fun in O'Torg... But maybe not too difficult to bring it back, we'll see... I'm sure there are unsavory elements within the Delphi Council that don't get punished because they "get things done." Maybe this could ...

Re: Preview #3 - Characters

Possibilities are the Experience Points of the game; why? Economy. As long as you don't have a Monty Hall Game Master, and/or a killer or wussy GM, the players have to make vital decisions about the advancement and/or salvation of their character. That is unique. Meh, not that unique. Marvel Super ...

I was just about to say that.

Sure, someone may confuse it with a d5, but the + really makes it stand out.

I'm just not used to an exploding d6 where I'm not adding to 6. The symbol may help with that mindset.
