Re: Degrees of Failiure?

You could calculate how much of a bonus would be required to still make the roll, or by how much your skill would need to be higher Say your attributes are 12/14/10 and your skill is at 4 If you rolled 14/14/14 you would need a bonus of 1 (rolling against 13/15/11) or 2 higher skill With a roll of 1...

Re: Mistranslation in Core Rules (Disease "Swamp Fever" p. 344)

A direct translation of Trefferpunkte would be hit points, which would have a different meaning to gamers in the US (or from elsewhere but having grown up using US RPGs) the difference between to hit vs to be hit.

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

Again not accurate in multiple ways, Bosper Regarding stewardship it is stated: Im Mittelreich dürfen magiebegabte Adlige zwar Lehen besitzen, müssen jedoch einen Vogt einsetzen, der die Amtsgeschäfte führt. Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

She just would have to apoint a Stewart, but yes, her status as magician could be an argument of her enemies.

Actually at that level of nobility there are canon examples of magic users being a barons and even counts in the Middenrealm.

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

For your first question: Arania was about a generation ago part of the middenrealm, so it would not be so uncommon for a family to have noble holdings both sides of the border in general. Perhaps even the main character is the daughter of the second wife of the aranian noble and therefore behind her...
