Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #1 - One Year Later...

That's exactly why I totally see the CyberPapacy spreading so easily. Especially since they presented themselves as saviors instead of invaders and stayed because we asked them to , I can totally see other countries literally begging Malreaux to invade to protect them from the other High Lords. Even...

Well, no one, obviously. Also, keep your laser handy.

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

That's a pretty good point, though my feeling from the start of this was that Andre was exactly the right example because he was , genetically, different. Arnold, yes, is a perfect example of just being the peak of what most of us could do if we made the sacrifices (and another totally unbalanced ch...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #3 - Magic

On the one hand, I know a lot of players are going to see that and want to play one, because players are just like that. And we do already have examples in a number of Cosms where Storm Knights can be a little morally ambiguous, having access to archetypes that might be considered a little on the da...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

That's what I keep running into. I wouldn't argue that Strength isn't a pretty big deal, especially increasing your base Strength and getting the Toughness with it -- but functionally, this is spending a Perk and giving up Darksight to be a tall Dwarf. Since Races don't transform and you can always ...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

More important than not being limited to a cosm is not being limited to humans. Ooh, that's a very good point, and it could easily be limited to human and fix that possible Huge Dwarf question. And since a Friggin Huge Elf is basically just a badly designed human, and Edeinos have their own ways of...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #2 - Cyberware

It's going to be tweaked. I'm sorry -- your earlier answer totally gave me that impression. I wasn't actually asking to get answers, just trying to help with the thinking a little! Atama, that would be my reading of it, too, but isn't Cyberware *supposed* to lift people beyond natural limits? That'...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #2 - Cyberware

Both that and the half-cracked Cyberware seem reasonably easy to house-rule, too... the framework is all there. Normally I don't suggest that kind of thing because no matter how easy a house rule is, they're never reliable. You have to talk your group into it every time. But these both seem like fai...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

I do note that Perks that increase both the stat and the racial maximum are rarer. But it's also notable that a Dwarf can start with Strength 14 at no Perk cost, and their Size limit thing is... nebulous? Like, it probably means they can't find armor in the field, but how often does that really happ...

Re: House Rule: Alternate Perks

I feel vaguely guilty about Signature Vehicle. I can't help worrying that it exists in some part because of all my compl--- um, bringing people's attention to the RAW difficulty of ever actually owning a vehicle. Which it does technically fix, obviously, but... first of all, I feel like an Electric ...
