Re: Transgender characters in Torg Eternity

I can imagine that's distilled from an awful lot of wrangling, but I'm afraid, as I'm sure you realized, you'd really need to devote a whole chapter to it, and not just a sidebar. At least a page. I mean... "the gender they currently are" works well for fluid, but less so for non-binary, b...

Re: Axiom Increase

I'm also not wholly convinced of your statement that RAW, they can. Individual axioms are a lot more limited than world axioms. A Core Earther can't walk into the Living Land and "invent" machine guns. If you're in a reality where all thinking beings can intuitively use Wishes whenever des...

Re: Grasping Vines overpowered?

I'm prepared to throw down with any GM who considers a T-rex to be a lesser foe that can be removed with a Player's Call. And if all you're doing turn after turn is negating its action, the rules encourage the GM to shut that down and call for a little creativity there too. If every single fight is ...

Re: Grasping Vines overpowered?

Ahh! No, don't do that. That would be even worse. So much worse. *shudder* And yet...if we didn't allow PCs to do it...there would be complaints too. No doubt there! It is quite literally impossible to please everyone, which is why we should all stop trying and just focus on me. 8-) Seriously, thoug...

Re: Grasping Vines overpowered?

I do agree that the routes to being OP in Torg: Eternity are many and varied and generally available to everyone, which does indeed start to cancel out and make it all OK again. It is, after all, a cinematic game, and heroes in movies tend to be a little OP. I'd actually say, though, that Zor touche...

Re: Grasping Vines overpowered?

That's at Good success. They can walk at normal Success. It's also going to affect all allies in the area since it's a blast. Allies don't count towards blast number of affected. You say these things like they're mitigating factors. To lock down a T-rex or a hoard of gospog for three rounds, I thin...

Re: Keeping track of modifiers

Ooh, and technically rounding for the majority means using fractions, and given how much people complain about addition and subtraction I don't think that's going to fly.

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #9 - The GodNet (Part 2)

Even offhand, the core book Cyberdeck, as I understand it, applies to all Computers rolls, so that applies in Tharkold, PP, and CE, and sometimes the Nile. (Weird Science is the sometimes-Y of reality. You can almost always say, "And sometimes the Nile.") I figure as we get newer, even shi...

Re: Keeping track of modifiers

Part of me wants to emphasize that Greymarch set it up to give you the modifier of the majority , not just the worst, but... I'm not sure I don't like "the worst" more, even as a player. It would be easy to game "the majority"; Intimidate two out of three with only a -2, then you...

Re: Perk Advancement Cost

I always think I'm going to improve Attributes when I make a character, and then I get stuck. Raising their lower stats doesn't really make sense because they're never going to be good at that and they probably don't have any skills based on it anyway. Raising their higher stats doesn't make sense b...
