Re: Help me with a justification

I think people are forgetting that Reality Bubble only affected the person who created it. It wasn't a bubble in the sense that other people could be inside it with you. The OTorg CRB made a point to specify it did not affect others.

Re: Large Object Contradictions

Otherwise you just go back to the 'it doesn't work for you' aspect of a contradiction involving a disconnected individual. However, the key is that it's the person who's disconnected, not the thing. So in this case, a co-pilot could take control of the plane to keep it working. Presumably though th...

Re: Large Object Contradictions

while it is being piloted, yes. As soon as the pilot leaves, it will start the transformation process. The Day 1 LL adventure shows this. A gun you can carry around with you preventing it, a car, plane, etc. you're going to have to leave and then its the Gm who decides how long it lasts, etc. But if...

Re: What Did You Use the Delphi Council for in oTorg?

In OTorg, I got the DC book late, so never used them. I had 3 separate groups playing at roughly the same time, so sometimes there were crossovers and a "circle of knights" was formed. As some players moved on, their characters hung around doing 'support'. With TE, I just kept this set up....

Re: Wish and Bane Lists

Well, the thing with Aysle's and Uthorion's backstory has always been that Uthorion was conquering it with the Gaunt Man's help as his first conquest. The Carredon was (is?) the Gaunt Man's pet. In oTorg, Uthorion went on to conquer other worlds for centuries before coming to Core Earth. I thought ...

Re: Wish and Bane Lists

Stalenger can be cool when converted to other realities, like a mage/cyberdecker/martial artist (Shuriken!) Mainly I want a non-stupid Uthorian. They seem to have got the Non-stupid Baruk Kaah down. When I saw the pic of him I thought hmm maybe not so bad, but then I read the CRB and they made Uthor...

Re: Feedback after first full table session.

The rules say that you lose these conditions at the end of your next turn. So depending on initiative order, you could be Very Vulnerable for 0-2 villain turns. Worst-case scenario: Round 1, Heroes go first. Hero goes All-Out and suffers Very Vulnerable. Villains on Round 1 take advantage of that. ...

Re: When do you tell players results?

I generally don't tell people the specific effects until things are resolved, just out of sheer laziness -- I don't want to describe things twice. I do tell them the DN right off, and whether degrees of success are significant as soon as they ask. I am a great believer in playing it open as TorgE s...

Re: Online Gaming

I have started a biweekly campaign. The card situtation isn't TOO bad if you take the "One card per page" version of the pdf, run it through a converter to make each page of the pdf a jpg and then drag and then build the deck from there (Roll20 has a tool to build decks). Took me about an...

Re: When do you tell players results?

I usually don't. My group of players that I have been playing with for years has a good eye and can usually figure out DNs (for any game) within a couple rounds. In Torg specifically, my experiences as a GM (and as a player - today my first time as a Torg player since 1993), influences me that it i...
