Re: Day One Transformation

I would say, organic tissue won't transform to inorganic, and vice versa. So while undead are not "alive", they are composed of organic materials, possibly have a soul of sorts for vampires and other sentient undead, often subsist on consuming organic material such as blood or brains, etc...

Re: Multi-Actions & Multi-targeting

I'm remaking my old original Torg PC who was a strong but simple caveman from the Living Land. We haven't started the campaign yet and I've only tested things with Day One demo starting characters which gave me a feel for how the rules work in this version. So my opinion isn't shaped from much exper...

Re: Day One Transformation

Consider this bit of prose...

"He jumped behind the wheel of the car, jammed the key into the ignition, and slammed on the accelerator as the car roared to life."

Re: Multi-Actions & Multi-targeting

I'm honestly not intending to be facetious, but I'm curious how you see this encouraging diversity rather than characters whose attributes all look pretty similar? You misunderstand. I don't mean diversity between characters at the table. I mean having diversity within a single character. Being a o...

Re: Are multi-actions too cheap?

Well, being unskilled on one of those actions makes you roll as if unskilled overall, which can be a big limiter. And -2 can be pretty rough, especially if you're not that great at the action. The fighter who's not that bright and chooses to do a multi-action with trick and attack is just wasting hi...

Re: Multi-Actions & Multi-targeting

I like the "lower of two attributes" rules, they encourage diversity. :)

(I say this as a player with a character that has a 13 stat and two stats at 5...)

Re: Multi-Actions & Multi-targeting

In most cases I'd expect the "leap" to be movement, which isn't an action. The leaping part is cinematic flair but not something you roll for, which results in a move followed by a single multi-target attack action. In this case it sounds like you made a perilous chasm as a deadly obstacle...

Re: Opponent Fails to Soak Damage

Seems to me like the player was holding the card until the best possible moment. Good for them!

I don't think it's the amount of ords that is the challenge, but the nature of them.

Re: Large Object Contradictions

I'd make it so that the plane starts to disappear but it takes a few rounds, enough time for people to grab parachutes or whatever.

I wouldn't let a second person "cancel" the disconnect. I don't think that's a thing that happens.
