Re: Breathe Fire seams really powerful

Plus multi-action is the best way to get 3 turns out of strike as opposed to 2 since the duration includes the turn you cast it. I'm not sure that would work. Generally, all parameters of an action (including a multi-action) are set when you begin your action - this was discussed in an earlier thre...

Re: AOE on a grid

On a hex grid, I'd give a Small blast an area of three hexes in a triangle. It's a fairly common AOE pattern used in Gloomhaven.

Re: Aysle Preview #6 - Threats

I actually quite like the idea that Dragons are inherently Dark -- *that* sets them apart from other fantasy worlds we've seen, and that's awesome. And rather than just saying, "Also, there are Light dragons," it brings out the question, "So how does concentrated Light manifest?"...

“You have seen Lanala with your own eyes, yet you still fail to believe?” “I believe that Lanala exists but that doesn’t mean she’s a goddess.” “Then what is she?” “She’s just a powerful supernatural being that shares her power with others who serve her.” “But isn’t that the definition of a god?” “...

Re: New Cyberware Ideas

The Mark I is known to be rather buggy; its ability to interpret language and infer its meaning on the fly often produces glitches. When making tests with the aid of the implant, a Mishap occurs on a roll of 1-4, which results in a disastrous mis-translation. ... often referring to certain elongate...

Re: Is Psionic Technology possible...?

I could, in theory, easily see a spell cast on a magazine that essentially made it provide infinite ammo for a short while (e.g. 1 minute). The bullets would vanish after the duration, but that wouldn't remove the holes they put in people before then. However, I don't think doing so matches any of t...

Re: Aysle Preview #3 - Perks

IOn the other hand of the other hand, the Core Rulebook says that Aysle's Tech of 14 gives it access to "the scientific method," which so far as I know was fairly specific to Europe in the 17th century. The scientific method should probably be a Social axiom thing rather than a Tech axiom...

Re: Nile Empire Sourcebook Questions

I'm not sure that's a definition that should be used anyway. Nearly any power can be defined as either combat or non-combat depending on the needs of the person having the conversation. Sure, but as I understand it the FAQ entry is mostly meant to cover the transition between the two. Using telekin...
