Re: Transformed humans in the Living Land

Yeah, the Outsider quality pretty much embodies the hardships the edeinos have to face. And it can get much worse, depending on how much of an allegory to real-life atrocities you want. You could retell the woes of African decedents in 19th- and 20th-century America. Or the internment of citizens o...

Re: The Kickstarter poll is up

I voted for #1. I love keeping the meta campaign dynamic, but I think it's too early to start shifting something as basic as an axiom level. The Living Land books haven't even been released yet. I'd like a chance to use them for a while before any changes this major. Maybe after Year One is complet...

Re: The Kickstarter poll is up

Yeah, I voted 2 because after last year's GenCon adventure and The Nashville Incident and (presumably) the LL KS adventure, Kaah needs a win to keep him from being a mook.

Re: Long term character growth

If the Delphi Council is assigning missions to SK groups, why would they assign a mission requiring political intrigue and stealth to the group without a single linguist, lock smith, or sneak? Why would they assign a probable frontal assault to the group without a Brick? Why wouldn't they look for ...

Re: Glory card house rule

Everybody here talking about too many Glory cards getting played in their games and I'm over here like "man, the best roll I've ever seen at my table was a 56. After possibilities, hero cards and everything else..."

Re: Three Glories

Well, maybe the change will discourage characters from following in the Storm Breakers footsteps. I know one of the PCs in my gaming group would consider the deaths 'acceptable losses', along with occasional justification that the transformed are 'aiding the enemy'... Aren't the PCs supposed to be ...

Re: Three Glories

Hrmm. I don't like this change. :( But if you're going to adjust the rules here @torghacker, is there any chance you can adjust the way Storyteller works so that it has some impact on the way the Glory rules work? Something simple like extending the time a Glory remains potent by a month would make...

Re: Luchador archetype rough draft

Carrying around a steel folding chair is unusual, but I guess it wouldn't be the weirdest thing to be found among Storm Knights. You could even have the chair be part of his moment of crisis. He was in a match, mid-chair-swing, when the axioms changed, and he used the chair to protect a fan (of rud...

Re: Sons of Apep: An antagonist idea

I haven't read everything, but I get the impression on here that pulp powers are not a contradiction in Living Land wonders. So while Mobius can't offer conventional weapons better than Tech 23, he can offer weird science gadgets that work perfectly in certain areas of the Living Land. That's true ...

Re: What's so occult about Occultech?

Grey, have you seen Dollhouse? Make the Occultech chips replace an existing skill, there's only so much room in a survivor's brain so if you want to install Fire Combat 5 then you're gonna have to take out something else like Dodge 5. Or empathy. Or compassion. Hope you don't lose the USB drive you ...
