Re: Vow of nonViolence

I'm glad to get clarification for how VoNV works, too. I'd think it would combo pretty well with Negation. That way, you wouldn't need to re-roll the villain's Possibility, just cancel it completely and then reroll the base result. It sounds pretty darn effective. Villain gets a big base hit in? Rer...

Re: Aysle Backer Archetypes

I also love how you introduced a new type of villian in the entry. Necromancer Death Monks! I cant wait to fight some of those!! When do we get to see an official write up for them? I appreciate the encouraging words, Zackzenobi and Kanaris. Hmm, I hadn't thought about a more in-depth writeup of th...

Re: Aysle Backer Archetypes

Also, I just saw the by-line. Aww! Heh, yeah. She's seven, and said she wanted a character "like Kung Fu Panda". (Gulp) I thought about how to do that by backing an Aysle kickstarter, and this was the result. :) On that, I'm speaking a lot from my experience with Firecracker, who twisted ...

Re: Aysle Backer Archetypes

P.S. After a few days of consideration, I, too, think that Reality Scholar should be limited to just one Reality perk. It still lets the perk be plenty powerful, but without completely eating Core Earth's lunch. It makes sense, as a scholarly focus. Did they concentrate on the mechanics of reality s...

Re: Aysle Backer Archetypes

Hi, everyone. I'm the one that backed the Elven Monk. Thanks for all of the kind words about it. I'm happy to answer any questions. The fluff of the new perk was going to mimic the original Disciplines much more closely than it does now, but due to time constraints, it had to be pared down to its cu...

Okay. I think I’ll take the plunge, and do a monk as mine then.

Love what you did there! :D

Thanks! I like yours, too. (My computer's been out of commission for a few days, or I would've responded sooner!)

Re: RandomWorlds Cyberpapacy Q&A chat tonight

I'll add my guess. If the Space Gods are inclined to help us when they arrive, then a blanket of reality trees covering Maritime Southeast Asia would protect literally hundreds of millions of people from the bad guy invaders. Plus, the tropical setting would hearken back to their close-to-nature oTo...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

In thinking about this for my own game, I can’t see how one could have the weapon mount without having it in a cyber limb. I think that’s why the book specifically says that the limb is rebuilt. When I try to imagine a pocket implanted into the meat arm or leg, I am envisioning shredded muscles and...

Re: What's behind the names of Cyberpapacy augments and weapons?

I can buy Hexxers having originally been Church-produced, only on the down-low. They'd be useful for Cabal witches who were trying to intentionally botch spells in order to summon demons. The more Shock the Hexxers soak up, the shorter the resting phase gets between casts. Even a level 1 Hexxer woul...

Re: My very first Torg purchase

My first Torg purchase was the boxed set, also at Waldenbooks, from a free-standing display of Torg stuff there. Was looking for a new rpg to try, and it came down to Torg or the Marvel Superheroes RPG. Now I’m a huge, lifelong Marvel fan ever since early childhood, so it should have been a no-brain...
