Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

Also with the text stating that there 'is little predictive quality to magic'; it kind of makes magic schools pointless as magic wouldn't be predictable enough to teach. For me, magic's an art, not a science. So I see a school of magic as analogous to a music school, or a creative writing program. ...

D'oh! Missed him in there somehow. My bad!

Cross him off the list then. :D

Marcus is in story part of the intro to Aysle.

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

On the one hand, knowing two forms like that (Fireball and Icecubes) with the ability to do improv magic (Axiom 22) should, in fact, allow you to cast both "Iceball" and "Firecubes" (But why would you?!) and it'd make sense... that's just how improv works. And I was gonna compar...

Re: My summary of the Torg setting

You mention that gospogs are only in Orrosh; I'm not sure if this was intentional as part of a surprise to the players later, but gospogs are in all realms; a 'present' by the Gaunt Man to the other High Lords. Also in the Tharkold section you write .. ' though in in[sic] an advanced social '. You h...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

I'm not sure if you want corrections on 'voice' but "Aysle is the kind of cosm where the call to adventure sounds from every dark hole in the ground..." sounds conversational ('m not sure if it's meant to); wouldn't " Aysle is a cosm where the call to adventure sounds from every dark ...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

I'm not sure if it's mentioned, but the necromancer perk doesn't list Spellcaster as a prerequisite.

Re: Cyberdeck operations

In oTorg I always ran the Tharkold rules for cyberdeck operations. The Godnet version was not to anyones liking. I also allowed the cyberdeck to be used in Tharkold, Cyberpapacy, Nippon and Core Earth, but with bonuses to computers for Nippon and Core Earth to show the differences in tech levels. Pl...
