Re: [Lesson Learned] Using GM Fiat to avoid bad habits in Torg intros

No, I don't keep written copies. I usually just cobble together a basic plot for them to follow. After I describe the game to them, I ask them what realms sounded interesting to them. Sometimes they shrug and let me decide, but if someone thinks Tharkold sounds cool or the Nile Empire, I'll go that ...

No idea, though a brief internet search revealed this to me: https://www.druidar.com/index.php?main_ ... s_id=12848

Japanese Torg Adventure or Comic?

Hey guys. While checking out images of the amazing Japanese version of Torg online, I came across an online RPG trading site. Among the main series books (which - if you haven't seen, you should definitely check the cover art) there was this: TORG トーグ・シナリオブック トワイライト21 https://cart-imgs.fc2.com/user_...

Re: Maelstrom

If players are used to a certain way of playing, then they may not be upset over house rules. Certainly I could see my players grumbling if they sit at a game where Second Chance can’t be used on disconnection. I probably would too. But if the players have just that game to compare it to, they may n...

Re: Maelstrom

I wasn't trying to be condescending. I apologize if it came across that way. I didn't think so, but I appreciate the explicit clarification all the same. No harm, done :) Also reading the rule (pg 113), it can only affect one character's actions (the one who played it or an ally). Maelstrom affects...

Re: Maelstrom

I wasn't trying to be condescending. I apologize if it came across that way. I did bring up earlier about the Critical Moment, but again, if done you can't do it again for that Act and you are left without cards. Also reading the rule (pg 113), it can only affect one character's actions (the one who...

Re: So, what spells are your players taking?

Is Bullet a bad spell or something? Bullet is effectively a .38 which bites the shooter if he misses. It is the only physically offensive spell available to a CE caster...no fireball; no lighting bolt. It was also not available to a CE caster in the first edition of T:E Core Rules. It is not a bad ...

War in the Heavens Metaplot

Hello everyone! I was wondering whether anyone could say anything about some information I have stumbled upon. Since WitH3 was never released I was at some point searching for more information about the Annunaki and the entities from between the stars. I've found two sources: ⋅ Fading Suns...

Re: So, what spells are your players taking?

Bullet, taken as an offensive option that I cannot recall ever casting. Bullet's one that I've never been able to justify taking, personally, but I've heard other people adore it, so. Is Bullet a bad spell or something? Bullet is effectively a .38 which bites the shooter if he misses. It is the onl...

Re: Background Storm Knight Activities

In my opinion, there's no need for a system if the players don't get to interact with it directly, to them it would feel no different than the GM deciding the outcome on fiat. Yes, fair point. How might I give the players the ability to interact directly with the outcome, beyond just letting them c...
