Re: One Player and One GM

The main problem, is most of my games are online with roll20 and even with puting icons on their tokens, people are so accustomed to pushing the roll buttons, which calculate everything, they forget to adjust for wounds, stymies, very stymies, etc. I've added a modifier column, which is great for bo...

First session impressions ...

Disclaimer: Iam not a native speaker, so be warned for the half broken english in this report. So after the Session 0, where we talked about the concept, what kind of "genre" the campaign should be and establish the Tier and other restrictions, we came up with a party consisting off: Tier ...

Re: [Homerule] Undergratuate Archetypes

I think the basic rules for Undergraduate is good - but a very important element is not addressed: undergraduate wargear. I think a big part of the cost of an archetype is the gear it gets access to. I don't think it is appropriate for undergraduates to have the same starting armor and weapons as th...

Re: Lasgun/laspistol underpowered

Well, actually for normal shotgun a scatter shot would be actually weaker, than a lasgun blast (only S=2 AP- D=1 instead of S=3 AP- D=1 for the lasgun) and only 8" of range. Yup; but default ammo for shotgun is slug shot, which is S=4, AP-, D2 and Knockback special rule; and in W&G paramet...

Re: Lasgun/laspistol underpowered

W&G is not a game for the standard "its your turn - i attack - lets roll". You dont kill stuff with AUTOATTACK in this game. W&G is designed to give your players a lot of possibilites to modify the roll. In your example you missed the main chunk of the design. 7+1ED UNmodified has ...

Fan-Stats time

Hi. I'm looking things over...and pondering some fan-stats for a few things. Specifically? Knights, and Playable Gretchin. Why playable Gretchin? Because I have a player who had a goblin bard in a DnD campaign, and it got me pondering. My loose ideas, outside of tweaking costs, are figuring out the ...

Re: Bornland info (Theater Knights)

I can totally understand the reason not to publish a background book for the region in which an important campaign is set. Now I haven't read any of the Theatre Knights adventures but say, if in Adventure the main ruling dynasty gets replaced, in book four one of the important cities gets destroyed ...

Re: What happens when you are Exhausted?

Well if you are exhausted you cant soak. Which means the damage becomes a wound. And the main difference between wounds and mortal wounds is that you cant soak mortal wounds (without special items or abilites). Which makes perfect sense that any damage beyond 0 shock becomes mortal wounds. Or isnt t...

Re: What happens when you are Exhausted?

… p. 230 says that if you are exhausted and take more shock damage it becomes mortal wounds! Huh, odd that it's in the table and not the description. I would not have even looked at the table if you didn't mention this. This part surprised me as well. It looks like it was kind of tacked on without ...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #8 - GM Screen and Archetypes

Cool stuff! My two main questions, after reading this: 1) What the crikey is a "Torch Singer"? I invoke torch singers for Shadowrun often (because Noir is the grandfather of all Cyberpunk), and there're some really nice examples out there. For instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy5...
