What statistics do you need when creating npcs?

I enjoyed the small stat blocks of 13th Age so was hoping there was a short hand way of detailing npcs

NPC's in the official adventures are fully detailed (check the quickstart rules for reference) - you can use that as a template for your own creations. TDE mechanics are so adaptable, you may very well only stick to the parts of NPC stats that you need the most. Let's say, you want to introduce an experienced street thief (not a bigshot, just a random one) - skill limit for "experienced" level is 12, so just give him Pickpocket 9, Perception 6, and the corresponding attributes on a decent level. There's no need to allocate every AP the guy may have.

Personally, I almost always create full character sheets for important recurring NPC's, even though I seldom use them to that extent. I just find it satisfying as a GM.

Thanks.
