And the maraskan=japan thing is a pet peeve of mine, because its as wrong as it can get, just because an illustrator took inspiration for a set of armor and a sword it doesnt mean that the culture is anything like it, while in fact its almost the opposite (or i missed the stereotype for informal, casual, extroverted and talkative japanese). I've seen that the text does a bit of correction there, but still the image reinforces the common missconception.
And the Bornland is definetely not russian but mainly polish. The form of government as well as the famous riders are taken from our neighbours not russia.

Almada is quite like spain, but the focus is the parts of spain that where under moorish rule, since the tulamidian influence is the important part of the region.

You both are aware that I didn't make the map, right? I jut explained what's going on in there.

Its not really important who made the map, you used it and i dont think its helpful.

How about (both of) you head over to imgur and leave a coment there?
I am sure the readers would find it interesting to hear other opinions, too.

Sorry for necroing this thread. I wasn't active a very long time (busy real life and so on) :(

What I want to say is Nice job Hex
Year ago, my friend and I created power point presentation for local cons. It's outdated regarding products list, but it's easily modified.
Here is a link for download if you want to use something from it.

Very cool!
Can you get me the map maybe? I was thinking about writing a more in-depth variant for people who want to know more.

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly. Here is link on Pics folder.
In this folder are all source file (pics) we used in creation of presentation, including maps, so help yourself out. Most of pictures are from Aventuria Scriptorium but I did some editing. Like removing backgrounds, adding transparencies etc. Dice images are created by my (soon to be) wife and me ;)
Hope that this helps. If you need anything else or you need help with writing this introduction guide, just ask.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can persuade guys from Ulisses to let you do it. After all, you are doing it for TDE promotion ;)

Hex,

Can i repost your info about Dark Eye on LivingAvcenturia.com? Of course you'll be credited. You do a great job summarizing what's so special about TDE.

Best,

Tenu
