Simplified Character Sheet

Postby DreadDomain » Sat Sep 14, 2019 8:11 pm

My two young daughters saw me fiddling why the excellent Optolith Character Generator and they took an interest in creating a character. They took the Core book and the Armoury and were inspired by all the imagery and came up with characters under my guidance. They ae now asking me to run them a scenario. I am more then happy to do it but the character sheet output from Optolith is clearly too much for them.

Anyone came up with a simplified caracter sheet in form fillable PDF, Word or Excel?

First price would be to fit everything on a single page.

Thanks.

How about just using the first page of the sheet? You can ditch the skills, the combat, the magic and handle everything as individual attribute checks.

Clearly the full list of skills needs a page of its own (just due to quantity) and the combat things another half page, so if you want to retain those I think you're looking at 2 pages minimum.

Reducing the number of skills is key here. I had a go with only showing the skills they had SR in but even then, reducing the sheet on one page was impossible since they both insisted to have spells and familiar (both witches) and an equipment list. I ended up at 1.5 pages.

If they would not have insisted to create their characters, I might have gone like you suggested.

At this stage I am thinking of running the scenario in the quickstart if only because it's quick and easy.

Is there a sheet in the quick start rules? That should be short

There is one in the German Beginners Box. But it is not out in English yet.

Maybe the German Download helps you a bit?

Those from the beginner box are really good and useful. With all explanations and hints they are not short though
