Glad to see TORG coming back

Postby bioramaxwell » Wed Jun 21, 2017 1:56 pm

Hi;
I'm a long time fan of TORG, and I love seeing it making a comeback!
I'm down in Atlanta, GA.

I've only ever GMed TORG (save for a Demo at DragonCon decades ago, and the demo at Origins last weekend), so I'm hoping this time around to get an opportunity to play!

I'm also hoping the kickstarter makes it to the Infiniverse level, so that there can be a something like a Living/Organized Play Campaign.
(Still kicking myself for logging into the kickstarter late).

There's a lot of talk about what the Infiniverse 2.0 will and won't be. It WILL be free online tools to help TorgE GMs make bangin' campaigns... There is also talk about a living campaign. I've heard nothing about if/how the two will mix (but I'm not reading absolutely everything...).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I saw the map. Looks like my house is in one of the Reality Storm boundaries.
(I need to go back and remember how to read these maps)

(Dang, it is also disturbing that this originally came out 27 years ago...I need to go back and read some of the old books)

Ulisses says they are reading and discussing everything we are tlaking about in terms of how we would like to see Organized Play. They do want to do it, but they want to do it right and they need to get the game out first.

All in all Im very excited about it :D

I think it's wonderful, I don't have to leave home to be a part of the action... being just outside that boundary on the west side. You can sit on your backporch and shoot edeinos just like you used to shoot squirrels. ;)

FYI, I'm also in the Atlanta metroplex.

The part I'm excited about is the online tools.

Once I make my millions (by winning the lottery, of course) I will be quadrupling the KS, so we should be okay.
