Well checking in from Western Canada here. Play running games from when the original first came out. Torg is still one of the most popular games amongst my friends. It is good to see that the world (Internet) has caught up with Torg. Love the twitter feed.

Hullo, Dean,

Oh, dear... I've been reading and watching the news with what's happening out in B.C. with all the forest fires burning out of control. My thoughts are with everyone in British Columbia being menaced and (possibly) displaced by the fires.

You take care, Dean, you hear? :)

Yeah, we're a bit on edge.

The smoke is AWFUL. I've never seen it this bad (though I wasn't here for the 2003 fires, which included a massive one in the valley Kamloops is in itself).

Yes, we have been receiving the news down here in Sydney as well. We're no strangers to forest fires ourselves with eucalypts everywhere, but the fires in BC seem something else. We are thinking of you.

I can well imagine. How close are the fires to you folks in Kamloops?

Having lived through fire a that gutted my home back in 1997, I can well imagine the smoke aspect of the fires. If one has any breathing ailments, like asthma and the like, it can be terrible (as it was for me). Are you folks taking precautions against the smoke yet, or has it not been deemed necessary where you are?

In the meantime, you take care, okay? My best to you and your loved ones.

We're basically staying indoors as much as possible.

As for distance, the Ashcroft fire is about a 45-60 minute drive west of here.
