Drama vs. Destiny

Postby ZorValachan » Thu Jul 13, 2017 8:44 am

I know it's probably too late, but is there a reason you called the Drama Deck and the Destiny Decks the way you did and not the other way around?

Your Drama deck shows Initiative, what actions you "should do", what steps in a skill resolution are possible.... destiny.
Your Destiny deck shows things like Hero cards, Drama card, Romances, Things that add to....drama.

I view it the other way - Initiative, dramatic task steps, things like flurry or surge etc. are all dramatic but the cards that players can choose to play to be awesome are their destiny manifesting.

To me, drama is conflict, and that's best represented by the Drama deck. The Destiny deck is that edge that shows that the PCs are destined for extraordinary lives.

Talking about Destiny Deck. Did I imagine it or will it include 4 blank cards?

As far as I know it won't. We were really up against the limit that could fit in the box.

I believe there were four blanks in the PDF we received, and this might be why the question arose.

Just checked, and there are four blanks in the v9 Destiny Deck PDF.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was merely mistaken...

But the reason for the 4 blanks is that there are four empty spaces when you print 60 cards at 8 per page. If you have good PDF/Photoshop skills, you could use the blanks to create new cards.
