utsukushi wrote:I actually quite like the idea that Dragons are inherently Dark -- *that* sets them apart from other fantasy worlds we've seen, and that's awesome. And rather than just saying, "Also, there are Light dragons," it brings out the question, "So how does concentrated Light manifest?" Which I find a much more interesting way to go, especially as something to explore as the game moves into Year Two...

Now you got me thinking about Dark Sun.

In OG Dark Sun, you had two kinds of wizards: defilers (who killed all nearby vegetation when they cast a spell, but who had a very generous XP table) and preservers (who did not kill plant life, and used the regular wizard progression). It was possible for a wizard to dual-class as a psionicist and reach 20th level in both classes. If you did, you could begin a transformation into an "advanced being" that would take place over levels 21 through 30. Defilers would gradually turn into dragons, while the preserver equivalent would be an avangion (picture shows the transformation sequence).

So... I'm guessing the Light equivalent of a dragon is a cross between a Roswell alien and a butterfly?

Is that because of a later preview?

Or is it because of the PTSD from your last encounter with it? :-)

Vampires should never, ever have sparkled, in any iteration, in any universe. Neither should dragons.

:lol:

We're going to preview it later. Well...the adventure anyway: Revenge of the Carredon.

Revenge of the Carredon implies he was wronged at some point. In this timeline did put him down in the first 90 days similar to how Towlyn, Decker, and Kurst did in the Original novels?

Is that a joke or an actual future product announcement?

In Eternity’s version, the Carredon disappeared with Tolwyn at the battle where Uthorion possessed Ardinay, IIRC from the Aysle section of the core rules. Tolwyn is back, so perhaps the Carredon’s revenge is finishing her off for good?

<whistles innocently>

Oh, and yes, that's the name of the Aysle adventure in the Kickstarter.
