Lived 5 minutes from Heathrow for over 40 years, there's nothing "iconic" about the buildings at all, sorry. But don't forget that there's always London City Airport, right in the, er, City...

Speaking of which, I'm hoping the book will have some stuff on the weirdness that is the City of London.

You know, it honestly never occurred to me that there might be other airports actually in London proper. That one totally solves the issue, and nobody has to deface the motorways. And it's much closer to the city than the power plants that the Old-Torg Aysle sourcebook says are powering the place, so it'd definitely be within the hardpoint.

On an unrelated note, currently in the middle of planning a London trip in late May. Loved it so much we're going back because we didn't allow enough time the first trip. Kind of amusing going back and forth between looking at Torg sites and looking for convenient hotels.

Speaking of Airports with "cultural significance" around London Hardpoint, how about the airports which hosted the fighter squadrons for defence of London during The Battle Of Britain? Croydon is defunct but RAF Kenley and Biggin Hill still seem to have limited use. All three seem to have some kind of memorial suitable for the Hardpoint "object".
(And, RAF Northolt is still active, and seems to have some significant memorial about the service during The Battle Of Britain.)
If any of them works as a Hardpoint, even the remaining open space of defunct airport may be used for helicopter-using realm runners.

RAF Northolt currently (I believe) is the airfield of choice for official aircraft of the Queen and Prime Minister. It is an active airport within Greater London, but with a local town (Northolt) in the vicinity. During WWII is was the base of the 300 & 301 bomber squadrons, and 302 & 303 fighter squardons, probably best know as the Free Polish Air Force. 303 was the single most effective squadron during the Battle of Britain. The Polish War Memorial stands just outside the gates above one of the bussiest roads into central London.

Calling it Culturally Significant may be down playing it...
