I've used Einstein's Wristwatch as a Shard. (Purpose: Enhancing Mind based tests.)
Suggested items as Shard candidates:
The baseball that broke Babe Ruth's HR record (Purpose: Enhancing physical feats.)
Charles Dodgson's journal (either the volume in which he told the Liddle sisters the stories that became Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or the volume with the pages he destroyed detailing his falling out with the Liddle family) (Purpose: Inspring hope through imagination.)
A red puppet from a long running children's show (Purpose: Spreading knowledge)
A set of movie reels brought over from Terra by one of the Mystery Men (Purpose: Breaking Mind Control)
A silvered blade from Orrorsh rumored to have defended the Queen from a Horror (Purpose: Defend leaders)
A creed from Magna Verita predating the Cyberchurch (Purpose: Enhance Faith tests.)

Snippets:When Terry Pratchett was knighted, he forged his own sword out of meteorite
Sir Terry gathered deposits of iron he found in a field near his home in Wiltshire and smelted it himself in the grounds.
To add a trademark element of fantasy to it, he threw in "several pieces of meteorites - thunderbolt iron, you see - highly magical, you've got to chuck that stuff in whether you believe in it or not."
The metal was then shaped into a sword by a local blacksmith, finished with silverwork and stored by Pratchett in a secret location, apparently because he feared it might pique the interest of the authorities.
If that didn't form an Eternity Shard, I can't think of what on Earth would!
I'm actually using that one in my campaign, funnily enough! I called it the "Sword of Stories" and had it's whole purpose be to create tales of heroism and wonder. Of course, that makes it insanely useful for creating Glory seeds, so it's kind of a campaign-wide MacGuffin that every faction on Earth wants. Glad to see that someone else had the same train of thought.

I’m just here ‘cause it’s my Special Interest

The Eye of Odin
Alexander's Sword (the one he used to cut the Gordian knot)
Shakespeare's Pen
Vladimirs Dinnerware
Vladimirs Scales
Lugh's Hand
The Golden Fleece
Taliesin's Harp
I can explain any of these that don't make sense.
