So, about the Host

A few questions about the Host.

1. The Host are basically super-charged light drones, right? If so, who builds them?

2. If I'm a Cyberpapal agent, how do I convince the Host to come? Is this a Miracle or a form I need to fill in the GodNet?

3. In the Beta Clearance GM update, if I understand correctly, the Host
► Show Spoiler
. I don't see anything on the topic in the Cyberpapacy Sourcebook, is it still true?

The way I understood the Host is that they only take orders from GodNet/Ebenuscrux. Until the events of the Beta Clearance Primer the Host would accept requests/orders from high-ranking church officials. At some point during the first year they stopped taking orders (and in general I don't think cosm sourcebooks replace any previous information, they simply provide more information about changes where needed). Now they are still around and appear, they just don't take orders from anyone except a "higher power".

I'm almost certain that at least Stelae positions have changed between the Beta Clearance GM Update and Sourcebooks, so I prefer asking to be sure :)

If I understand correctly the Cyberpapacy Sourcebook, they still seem to show up as part of patrols. Does this mean that they have been pre-programmed to do so? Do we have any example of order that they have stopped following?

The one that appears in When Cosms Collide makes me think they are somewhat sentient rather than programmed.

My rule of thumb is that if their Mind is above 5 then they are sentient.

The Beta Clearance previews are ... well, previews and are subject to change.

That's what I have eventually concluded :)

So, should we forget about this line in the preview?

I've been playing mine as sentient beings and if they can't connect to the Godnet periodically their mind and personality start to fracture and they become increasingly unstable and erratic.
