The 80's cartoon Spiral Zone had Torg all over it. "Stelae" were placed all over the world creating zones where people living under it's influence were docile minions. The heroes wore specialized armor which made them immune.

Darrell suggested the South Korean movie Train to Busan as a great Pan-Pacifica movie. I just watched it tonight, and now I hope the Pan-Pacifica mega-adventure has an entire act that takes place on a train/airplane/ship where an infection is breaking out.

Yup, that's a great one! It's got the whole 'tension and betrayal among the survivors' aspect, too, so the Law of Intrigue fits; no backup, so there's the Law of Tenacity, and some bits of the Law of Vengeance, as I recall. The writer-director had an animated zombie film, Seoul Station, come out at the same time; it's another good one. He's got a very bleak view of human nature which fits nicely with (my understanding of) Pan-Pacifica.

Actually, the Day1 adventure which takes place in Tokyo is not so far from the spirit of this movie and there is an explicit reference to Korea and Busan inside ;)

I think a Core Earth zone with some Pan-Pacifica tech mixed in (Mixed zone around Australia?) could give you Megaforce!

I strongly suggest watching the Rifftrax version of that, though ;)

I pulled this up last night and really enjoyed it. It's a well done movie in its own right, but it is clearly a template upon which we can base all our Pan Pacifica outbreaks on. Honestly, I feel like there needs to be a new enemy that is not just Infected Human but an actual Infected Mob. How does this differ from the minion rules? Maybe it doesn't. But I clearly have been using too few Infected against my players.

And yeah, this movie can serve as a demonstration of what happens on Day One. The movie has a larger scope, since Kanawa doesn't want to wipe out entire cities, but you can definitely enjoy this on a micro level.

I thought about trying to port this into Torg, but the big discrepancy I see is that the movie characters are all everyday nobodies with very little resources while Storm Knights have guns, spells, psionics, and miracles. It's hard to translate that to the feel of the movie without declawing them. But since Day One was all about everyday nobodies, you can capture that feeling there pretty easily.

And now I have in mind a new Setback in Pan Pacifica. So this flaming train jumps the track and crashes into the battlefield. Scores of Infected passengers swarm out.

The Eliminators movie is pretty Torg:

This thread has been going on for a while now, and I can't remember if anyone else has mentioned Hudson Hawk yet.

This movie came up in another thread, and it just screens Nike Empire to me...secret religious societies, Super Skill, mystical artifacts, villains with extreme personality traits, characters working DSRs by from separate locations coordinating with songs, at least one NE Cosm card obviously played....
