You are correct, assuming it uses normal Japanese pronunciation.
It would be written as, and pronounced as, three characters/distinct syllables: Ka-Na-Wa. “A” is always pronounced as “ah”.
Though you wouldn’t stress any particular syllable typically. I’ve never thought about it but I don’t remember ever doing that in conversation. Japanese is relatively simple (as a spoken language) in many ways compared to English. (Then again, just about every spoken language is.)

Once you have a thorough cough, or caught a laugh, you can no longer doubt the absurdity of English pronunciation.
