Massachusettser's Greetings

Postby Jame Rowe » Thu Jan 19, 2017 6:55 pm

Hi!
I am located in Massachusetts in the US. I picked up a copy of TDE over the weekend at a Convention (Arisia if anyone would like to know).

I probably have a bunch of questions but here are my first set:
1. Is there going to be a set of maps labelled in English?
2. Is it okay if I put up my test characters somewhere here? I made one but I think my math is wrong. (It had more skills than the example characters in the book and I wonder if I miscalculated.)
3. Is there somewhere that I can find the example characters from the core book, and the illustrated and named characters, online?

Greetings to Massachusetts!

as I can see at least your first question has already be answered.

2. You can post your character into the Rules Questions-section of the forum, where the community can take a look and leave comments.

3. I haven't seen any prefilled character sheets with the example characters but you just might copy them by hand inside I'm not sure, if all illustrations are inside but at least some are inside this package.

Hopefully that helped you.

Thank you, it did! I will take a look at the illustration packet when I can, TDE has great art.
(Forgive me if the German goes over my head, ad I last tried to learn it 15 years ago.)

Ahh, snow. We should have some now, but don't. Odd. Enjoy it!
Say, what does your name translate to?

Hello from a snowfree Scotland (well at least the bits around here).

There are English versions of the maps around. One came with the original Kickstarter, another with the Almanac and soon there will be a rather swanky map set (if the German version is anything to go by). Each regional book also has a regional map set and so soon there should be plenty of maps.

If you look through past posts on the forum I put one up for people to critique my first character and some minor changes were suggested and made. If in doubt the Tangents forum is home to everything.

Feuerklinge means fire blade.

All the best and have fun with the Dark Eye.

Yeah, "fire blade" is correct. It is the name of my first .... no.... my second TDE hero. My first hero was a half-elve named Tanis, who was killed after 2 hours playing time . After that I created a knight named Morgoth Feuerklinge. I've played him at times from TDE 2 to TDE 3. He then died in the 3rd Demon Battle as one of the biggest heros at this time

Thank you both.
I plan to get the Almanac when it's finally out so I'm looking forward to it even more.

Fireblade, huh? At least he went out fighting some extra-EEEEEE EEEEEEEEEvil. :D (If those non-native English speakers are wondering about the "EEEEEEEEEEEvil", I'm spelling it incorrectly for my own amusement.)
