Torg Eternity Pledge Level Breakdown

“Well there’s your problem.” – Quinn Sebastian

The Torg Eternity Kickstarter launches in less than 24 hours!

There is only one reward level that is time-sensitive, but we wanted you to have enough information before launch so that you can be ready.

Torg Digital Basic – $30

If you just want to get in on the digital version of Torg Eternity and all the digital stretch goals, this is the starting pledge level. This level gets you digital copies of the card deck, character sheets, and all the digital stretch goals.

Torg Digital Deluxe – $50

This is the digital reward level to choose if you also want to collect the entire digital library of Original Torg (a $130 value)! Note that all physical backer levels also include this digital library.

Torg Player – $70

If you’re just planning to play Torg Eternity and you have a GM who will be getting the deck box, this is the easiest way to pick up the book. You’ll also get a set of Torg dice, plus all digital stretch goals.

Torg GM – $120

In addition to the book and the dice set, this reward level includes everything you need to run the game – a full set of cards, a GM Screen, and punch-out status counters. And of course you’ll get all digital stretch goals, as well as any enhancements to the physical products listed here.

Delphi Council Cargo Box – $200

Sign up for a priority supply drop from the Delphi Council! In addtion to everything in the Torg GM level, you’ll receive a collector’s box that includes various products that are otherwise only available individually as add-ons. AND as the Kickstarter grows and we unlock more add-ons through stretch goals, many of them will be marked as “added to the Cargo Box.” So this deal just keeps getting better!

A Seat on the Delphi Council – $1000 (10 backers only)

10 lucky backers will get this once-in-a-lifetime experience. You’ll work with us to design a character (with art) that will be listed in the world of Torg Eternity as a member of the Delphi Council itself! On top of that, you’ll get a seat at an exclusive game at Gen Con 2017. You’ll also get everything in the Cargo Box pledge level, including both a hardcover AND Limited edition of the rulebook.

As we’ve previously mentioned, all physical levels can be upgraded with either the blue leatherette Deluxe Edition or the hand-bound real red leather Limited Edition.

Retail Pledge – $1

This is not a specific set of rewards, but rather a way for retailers to get on a list to pre-order whatever they want once we get close to fulfillment. This is a way for stores to participate without having to commit a set amount of money far in advance of getting the product to sell. Please do not use this pledge level if you are not a retailer.

Physical Stretch Goals

Almost all of our physical stretch goals are designed as enhancements to either the Deck Box (available at the GM level and higher) or the Cargo Box. All backers will be getting digital versions of most of these products, so if you’re happy with PDFs, you should be fine. If you want the physical versions of any individual items, you’ll be able add those to your pledge separately.

If you want everything, the Cargo Box is going to be your best bet, because it will just keep growing over the course of the Kickstarter. If we unlock everything we have planned, you’ll be getting products worth at least $180 for a pledge upgrade cost of $80 over the GM level.

Have you figured out what you want? Then we’ll see you tomorrow!

  1. Lee says:

If I understand this correctly even with the $200 Cargo box I would need to add the leather cover seperatly?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Correct. The real leather is a $50 upgrade to any pledge level.

  2. Glintir says:

If you get a physical copy of Torg Eternity, do you also get a digital copy of the base rulebook. Sometimes I don’t want to carry things. Sometimes I do.

    1. Eric Simon says:

Yes. All physical levels get all the digital stuff as well.

  3. Tenu says:

So for the $1,000 level, when will that exclusive GenCon event be run? And will it be truly exclusive event, in that it never gets run or published again, or will $1,000 backers juts get the first crack at it?

    1. Eric Simon says:

From what I understand, Darrell is intending to use these games to drive future world development.

The event will be arranged for maximum backer convenience. We may not be perfect, but we’ll do our best.

  4. Sylior says:

“You’ll also get everything in the Cargo Box pledge level, including both a hardcover AND Limited edition of the rulebook.”

Implication: both a hardcover and limited edition are part of the cargo box.

    True/false?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Sorry for the confusion. Only the exclusive level contains both.

  5. Johnomar says:

Also, in the event we decide to go the Delphi Council route and can’t make Gen Con 2017 do we still get to work with you guys on the character design? Is the gaming seat transferable while keeping the Delphi Council character design?

    1. Eric Simon says:

If you want to split the pledge with someone else, we can work with that.

  6. Sal says:

Will the basic digital pledge also include digital versions of all the cards, and anything else besides the book that’s required to play? I’m guessing yes since there’s no other pledge for digital cards but wanted to be sure since its not explicitly mentioned.

It looks like the pledge description is actually cut off tho, so maybe my question is answered in the missing bit?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Yes, all the levels include digital versions of basically everything.

    2. Eric Simon says:

Good catch. There was indeed a copy/paste error there. 🙂

  7. I do think you should have a less pricier goal for players only… The guy just interested in the book should not pay 70 dollars to be a player if he doesn’t care about electronic files… Will he be able to just order as an add-on the main book ?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Yep. The book by itself can be purchased as an add-on. So if a group wants to coordinate a GM pledge and some individual books, you can do that.

  8. Zack Zenobi says:

Wow the price on getting my character drawn in a future supplement Really jumped! $1000 is really expensive. I guess I should Not have expressed interest in it. It only cost $300 to do it in The Dark Eye. Why the $700 price increase? I don’t want to go to Gen Con. Is there any chance of getting my character drawn as part of a separate pledge level?

  9. Eric Simon says:

It is both art and inclusion on the Delphi Council within the game lore, which is a pretty big deal. But honestly the Gen Con game is a big part of the price difference from the art levels in The Dark Eye. I understand you might not want both parts of this pledge level, but we wanted to make it as much of a total experience as we could.

  10. Zack Zenobi says:

Sure but there is no reason you could not also offer the drawn character separately.

    1. Eric Simon says:

We may come back around to just art in the future, but the 10 custom characters with this reward level are a lot to manage for now.

  11. Darrell Impey says:

Is it going to be possible to make a lower pledge and then add a physical set of the cards as an option?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Yes, the card deck will be available as an individual add-on.

  12. Johnomar says:

Okay, not sure the response I assume was mine was clear enough for my tastes. I’m ready to pledge at the $1000 level but cannot attend GenCon to participate in the gaming session (curses fate). Am I still able to design the character for inclusion in the ranks for “A Seat on the Delphi Council”. Thanks.

    1. Eric Simon says:

Yes indeed! And you are welcome to work out handing off the table slot to someone else (if they want to go in for part of the pledge, for instance).

  13. Jason says:

There should be just a rulebook pledge level, with a digital upgrade available for something lower than $70.00. I personally plan on being a Delphi Council Cargo Box backer but I think the extra $20.00 – $30.00 over a $40.00 to $50.00 pledge will cost you a very large number of potential backers would would be interested in just a physical rulebook. I think its a mistake not to have a lower cost physical rulebook pledge personally.
