Re: Cyberpapacy in South America

The Cyberpapacy invading Brazil is one of my fav things Torg Eternity has done! We wanted to do it in our original Torg campaign but ran out of time. I know that Torg Eternity has changed the Akashans, but I always wanted to see Monitors vs Church Police in full force. You might be happy to know th...

Re: Fires of Ra Discussion and Questions

GeniusCodeMonkey: How did they do with the "False Chamber of the Eye" puzzle? I've always been curious about how different groups would receive that one.

Re: Fires of Ra Discussion and Questions

The only thing that is mentioned about the scepter is that it opens the door. It does not say one can close the door with it. In fact, there is a sidebar that discusses what happens if the villains got the scepter instead of the heroes. In that case, the seal is open when the heroes arrive. Yes, th...

Re: Fires of Ra Discussion and Questions

If I could ask for one supplement to help with open ended adventures, it would be a rogues gallery / monster/enemy manual, with each rogue having a mini subplot or background to hook in. I started writing one several months back, but just don't have the time for it. I'd also like to see a "Cre...

Pulp Minis

I can't believe I missed this Kickstarter!

The minis will apparently be released as a box set, and are intended to support a minis wargame. Might be useful for those who prefer minis over tokens or theater of the mind.

Re: Fires of Ra Discussion and Questions

I’m thinking that was supposed to say 140, not 40, but in all honesty the number of Bedouin and shock troopers in that scene shouldn’t really be relevant, as that battle’s ultimate purpose is to serve as a distraction so the heroes can get into the camp undiscovered. I’d never advise a GM to play ou...

Re: Fires of Ra Discussion and Questions

The other issue is that Torg adventures are structured around an Act/Scene framework which has a baked-in mechanical element, as part of its movie-inspired roots. D&D doesn't use that kind of structure, so it's whatever... same with most other RPGs, really. When writing for those games, it's ful...

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

Frankly, I'm thinking that there is no tech axiom where mecha make sense , combinable or not. Anything you can do with a mecha, you can do better with a same-axiom tank or other non-humanoid vehicle. So to make a cosm with mecha, you probably need a world law to force their existence. That was my p...
