Maybe something similar to Mobility in D&D? If you attack someone in melee you can move away without becoming Vulnerable?

Rather than putting the onus on the shooter, what if it was a perk for the melee guy. Something like Mobile Combatant Prereq - Dexterity 9+ The character is adapt at ducking and weaving in melee and does not count as a possible target for the firing into melee rules. In terms of `realism', I can absolutely see this being justified either way, so that's cool. It's magic; it works how you want it to work. Corner case IMO, that's what GMs are for. :) Going forward though, it's something to consider when designing miracles. One thing that could differentiate them further from spells would be that they don't miss. They miss when you roll less than Dodge so they logically could miss in the heated exchan...
