Re: Anything you'd like to know more about in the Nile Empire

The website Atlas Obscura has a lot of weird and interesting sites. You can search by name, or open up the map and see what is in a given area. • Aswan Dam • The ruins of Atlantis (not the zany, over-the-top version set in the Atlantic, but one destroyed when Thera blew up Santorini. Maybe it could...

D'oh! :? Thanks, Deanna.

Another interesting place is the Cave of the Swimmers in the extreme southwest of modern Egypt. It was depicted in "The English Patient".

Re: Anything you'd like to know more about in the Nile Empire

Alexandria. The sourcebook mentions the lighthouse is back, but what about the library? Seems like a place with so much history would be an interesting location. Also it's presumably the Nile's prime port city - what kind of trade goes on there? Are there lots of travelers from other realms? Defini...

Me too, it's awesome, for creative use of psionics and as a great concept fully realised.

Re: Nile Backer Archetypes

I am thinking of an Israeli sabra who sees Mobius and the Nile Empire through the lens of the Book of Exodus. My archetype for the Living Land was religious so was thinking of making him/her a Mystery Man, but if there is going to be an excess of Mystery (Wo)men, I might take the faith route, or per...

Re: Nile Empire Sourcebook Questions

The book is amazing, but I do have a quibble with it, namely Mobius's stats. I feel that making him a literal, and extremely powerful, miracle-worker (instead of the Scotty kind) is a bit out of character. When I think of Mobius, I think Weird Science, not miracles. If he needs something obscured, ...

Re: Nile Empire Sourcebook Questions

...Um, have you, by chance, gotten to the, `The Pharaoh Is Always Right' section on p43? Just out of.. curiosity. I have urgent business over here, I'm afraid. It was lovely knowing you, though! <blithely ignoring the creaking sounds under his feat> I did indeed  On page 42, it is noted that O...

Re: Nile Empire Sourcebook Questions

Congratulations, Deanna, the Nile sourcebook is a tour de force! The right balance between background and guide to play for players and DMs. A lot of research has clearly gone in to it. I especially like the trap rules and the reworking of mathematics and engineering to fit the TorgE paradigm. Much ...

Re: Nile Empire Kickstarter

Yes, congratulations Deanna, a credit to you and the USNA team! Nice to see a powerful storm surge take the Kickstarter home. I can't wait to read the Cosm book and later the religion supplement and later read or play the great adventures: Delphi Council, Fires of Ra and Relics of Power. Happy Chris...
