You can already cast spells that you know in the Godnet. So the way I've read this, you choose one from the Cyberwitch spell you don't know and can store it in Spell Checker, and cast it both in the Godnet and in the Flesh.

Correct.

Brilliant, thank you.

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

You get to cast it. But no, it doesn't "grant the knowledge". Thank you. Does this mean that a cyberwitch can only cast stored spells while in the GodNet? Check the Flesh App entry. It can explicitly be cast while out of the Godnet. I saw that. But if you know the spell already from a spe...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

The Spell Checker deck has a stored spell as part of its benefits. Does this grant knowledge of an additional spell to the decker? If not, what is the benefit of the spell being stored in game terms? You get to cast it. But no, it doesn't "grant the knowledge". Thank you. Does this mean t...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

The First Seal cyberdeck replaces the TE Corebook cyberdeck. It still provides Favored tests but only against Tech 25 or less computers. As for Tharkold's computer networks, I don't want to comment on that just yet (if only because I haven't read what John Watson and Darrell did for it). Nice, than...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook!!

Revealing my age, but the (unnamed) village is the one from the Asterix comics :) The problem with Asterix comics was that they always made that mutton look so appetizing, reading them as a kid always made me hungry. I know how you feel. I'm guessing they didn't stimulate your appetite for fi...

Re: Rappaccini's Daughter: the future possibility of poison-themed characters

This reminds me of the ermordenung from Ravenloft. Our DM, that Orrorshan sorcerer, loved them. We became paranoid about anything habitually wearing gloves!

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook!!

The main setting for the series is an unnamed coastal village (rumoured to be inspired by Erquy) in Armorica (present-day Brittany), a province of Gaul (modern France), in the year 50 BC. Julius Caesar has conquered nearly all of Gaul for the Roman Empire. The little Armorican village, however, has...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

Yes, so ... much ... stuff <happy dance>. I can see why space was so tight. Well done to Deanna and Thomas. It was worth the wait :D There's so much to discuss. To start things off, in the TE corebook it says that computer tests with cyberdecks are favoured. I assume this is only for computers in Co...

Re: The Reality Choir: A sourcebook for the Covert Reality War

I just came across this and am very impressed. This is incredibly useful and helps make Core Earth a lot more flavorful than it is in canon! I absorbed the preview, loved it, and am going to grab this on payday. I bought this and am almost very impressed. I have only flicked through it so far, and ...
