Re: Physical Adept?

So taking a wound would negate 1 tattoo until healed. Well, maybe, if it happened to hit the right place on the body. Though even a Shock-only hit could be fluffed as causing a minor cut that “disables” the tattoo, also. Ultimately, just as with any non-perk-protected gear, it’s all gm fiat in the ...

Re: Physical Adept?

I don’t think a tattoo would have to be ripped off entirely to say it stops working. A cut across it that leaves a scar could be enough to “break” it, for purposes of the enchantment. I don’t think there’s any need to give it any extra protection over other normal gear, simply due to its nature.

Re: Physical Adept?

Finding that a Physical Adept can be a Weapon Master, I searched for another way to enchant one's own body...and here it is: General Gears can have enchantment like Skill +1, Favoring, or Mitigating, and the Gear can be Tribal Tattoos(or Ayslish equivalent of it) from the Core Rulebook. So, for exa...

Re: Physical Adept?

This is an Amazing Idea! How did you come up with that? Well, I wanted to stay true to the spirit of the original archetype in some key ways, and as originally presented they’re definitely non-materialistic ascetics. That’s an issue under the new rules, with Aysle’s Law of Enchantment throwing out ...

Re: Physical Adept?

Yeah, right now, RAW it doesn't work. It took a custom perk to reduce the MAD, free up the action economy, and end the concentration problems. I think the end result is pretty good, though, at addressing all those things.

Re: Physical Adept?

The Elven Monk will feel and operate a lot like a physical adept. From what I remember, Shadowrun's physical adepts didn't pump themselves up with temporary magic effects. Rather, they infused magic into their bodies on a more long-term basis. Ayslish monks will have a perk that, among other things,...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #4 - Malraux and Ebenuscrux

I'll reiterate the calls to give him adds in computer , and I think I'd throw in science as well. There's no way he could think that he actually invented the GodNet or the other cybertech advances, without at least some bare rudiment of working knowledge of them. No one is that entirely deluded. I'd...

Re: Second Chance - who can play?

It’s mostly a moot point since you have about 3-in-10k chance of rolling 60+ unaided. But it can happen. I did it once, in a home game. It was that character's defining moment, really. He's a Cyberpapal character with no magic, no miracles, and no cyberwear. He was the owner of a charity thrift sto...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #1 - One Year Later...

I'm actually really looking forward to the soundtrack for CP. The CP song from the core cargo box cd is one of my favorites. I'm hoping some Enigma-esque Gregorian electronica will be included.
