Traps and Poisons

Detecting traps and counteracting poisons are pretty well handled in the Compendium. However can't find details on crafting traps, and brewing poisons is ambiguous at best. I'm lumping these two together under "when counteracting something is clear but making the thing to be counteracted isn't&...

Re: Alchemical Laboratory

Just a general update. The Preview of Aventurian Magic which is now released has Tradition: Savant (35 AP), which pretty much takes care of the issue of Alchemists who only use AP for Alchemy....and smiths that produce magical equipment as well. So 2 of my big questions have been answered!

Skill Specialization and Prerequisites

Can Special Abilities with prerequisites be taken for use with a specific use of a skill, when Skill Specialization is used to meet the prerequisites? As a specific example, the Trade Secrets for working Magical Metals all require minimum skill levels. So, do these prerequisites include or exclude S...

Re: Alchemical Laboratory

It is not possible to have the advantage spellcaster without a tradition, see core rulebook p.274 bottom paragraph. This reference is actually what makes the issue less than clear to me. "Learning a Tradition" makes it clear someone CAN learn a tradition later in life, it's just very diff...

Re: Alchemical Laboratory

Thanks! The above answers are exactly what I was looking for. I was at least a little suspecting the Witch Kitchen issue to be language errata. Do you know if/when the Aventurian Magic books will be available in English? I haven't seen these or seen them in a Kickstarter yet. The Mastercrafter conce...

Alchemical Laboratory

When considering a Healer, it would seem that Alchemy is a good ability to expand into, especially as Alchemy does not require, RAW, magical ability. However, the travelling healer (a legitimate Quack, if you will) would need a lab that was mobile. Traditionally, this would be identical to the Witch...

Re: Errata Correction

Warring Kingdoms just drops the ranks from Stealth for the Serpent Witch and the pdf has also not been updated since the initial release. An errata file would be REALLY useful. {EDIT} Adding insult to injury, the AP cost looks to be badly off. I show 20 AP for Special Abilities, 163 AP for skills, 4...

Re: werewolf in the dark eye

Among the folk of Nivesen there are beings like werewolves, but don't be one. They are called "Wolfchild". Wolfchilds are those nivesen, in which the legacy of the wolf's blood flows so strongly in the veins that they can voluntarily turn into a rock-wolf. Is there any "crunch" ...
