Re: Nile Empire Preview #2 - Pulp Powers

I notice that, along with Super Soldier, Unbreakable Shield made the list. Someone wants to make sure it’s possible to build a certain patriotic Captain right out of the box.

Re: The Living Land Sourcebook Thread

One small thing that bugs me. I know languages sometimes do things like this, but... "Keta Kalles" is supposed to mean "Way of Lanala" in edeinos. But "Lanala" is already an edeinos word, and appears nowhere in the phrase. Is it technically "Way of the Goddess"...

Re: Someone please explain 'Moment of Crisis' to me

As for the overall issue of moral clarity in TorgE, only a couple of realities have explicit "too evil to be playable" mechanics, and both (Aysle and Orrorsh) allow a bit of flirting with dark power before that kicks in. The Nile Empire has dropped the Good and Evil inclinations from oTorg...

Re: Someone please explain 'Moment of Crisis' to me

I'm with Sword of Spirit, here, in that I interpret "failing" a potential Moment of Crisis as doing the "normal person" thing, not behaving boldly and taking a moral stand whether heroic or villainous. So the options are actually, in my view, these: 1) Generally unselfish person ...

Re: Changing the Delphi Council?

I like the idea of the TorgE Delphi Council as a clearing house for intel and possible Storm Knight missions -- those dispatches and rumors come from somewhere, right? But I agree that (especially as expanded in the Living Land book) it seems to have gotten really big and organized in a fairly short...

Re: The Living Land Sourcebook Thread

Nice shoutout to the Land of the Lost in the God Box. Marshall, Will and Holly are definitely what they're getting called at my table. Despite the theme song, the dad's name is Rick. Their surname is Marshall. And the characters in the opening fiction are named for their actors -- Spencer...

Re: The Living Land Preview #2 - Kaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the "immobile DDs" front, wasn't Daikoku a laptop even in oTorg? And now he seems to be a smartphone.

Re: Urkaan world laws

On a related note, do we have any hints of what the people of Ukhaan looked like? I am running the LL Day One adventure and I kind of want to describe the recounting of Kaah's invasion of Ukhaan as holographic "video" rather than just using the handouts (which are almost "too much,&qu...

Re: Miracles - by axiom, or religion?

Note that the "D&D 4th edition" principle actually applies in real-world Catholicism, which could provide a model for Cyber-Catholicism. Once you're a priest or a bishop, you're a priest or a bishop. The Pope can reassign you so that you no longer have authority over a particular regio...

Re: Moment of Crisis pre-Invasion?

So ... in the absence of invasion, perhaps people who are pushing the axioms of their world (maybe by virtue of having that Perk that makes your personal axiom one higher than the norm) could transcend, with the opposing realities being their personal one vs. the surrounding environment? Has Core Ea...
